It's not worth him playing tonight if it risk injury. I'm going to assume they did their due diligence.
He hit a few 3's and he had that crucial offensive rebound tip to Harrell in the 4th. So it looks like he can play with the wrist the way it is although obviously there's the risk of injuring it even worse.
i was surprised, err shocked, on bev's breakaway that got blocked. it's basic basketball that you block off the defender's path and angle to protect the ball. even junior high kids know to veer further center, possibly even catching the defender on your hip so you then have both your body and the rim between the defender and the ball. and alternatively, there's the sam cassell way of just pulling up for the 10foot J
They could beat the Magic without him, but if he can go, he should go. I don't like this "in and out of the lineup" pattern that's developing.
if this dude's wrist is still throbbing and hurting like ****, he should definitely take his rest. i want him at 100% against elite teams. not worth getting nicked and bruise against an EC opponent.
I agree with everything you said other than the fact that junior high school kids know better. Take it from a guy that has coached 7th and 8th graders for many years, I can assure you that they do NOT know better. It is some of the most mind boggling basketball you'll ever see.
