It doesn't surprise me, but it's certainly insulting. Especially when you consider the tens of thousands of people lining up for Texans games.

I've been saying it for years, the Toyota Center is the problem. Going to the TC is a freakin ordeal from parking to getting back onto 59 to go home. Am I the only one that feels this way? Am I already just too old and angry to appreciate the stadium atmosphere? I loved going to the Summit as a kid and later as an adult.

Then again, I think both Minute Maid and NRG are better stadiums than the Astrodome. Ok, I'm standing by my TC hatred. Who's with me for taking back the Summit from that dangerous cult and putting the championship banners back where they belong?

Getting out of TC is never a problem with me. Having worked downtown for many years it's no problem getting in and out of the area. The advantage of the Summit/Greenway was parking was covered and free. I agree Summit had a better atmosphere which TC has never really been able to have.

Yeah I get that part and I understand that for kids on a school night the 9:30 is more agreeable. I actually have no problem getting there at 7 but I can see it is an issue for people.

I love going to the games, but as I've gotten older, I've gotten less rowdier and just go and sit like I am watching a play. I usually turn it around in the fourth quarter and get rowdy then.

I do prefer watching the game at home now-a-days. The playoffs, that's a different story though!

Yeah I-10 was closed at Wilcrest. But this is more of an on going thing than just this game.

If you looked at your ticket, you would have seen that parking for the Summit was not free. It was part of the ticket price.

the cheaper seats are usually filled up when I go to games.... it's the expensive seats along the sides that you can see on TV that don't get filled....

Very late arriving crowd. It was embarrassing at tipoff but the upper deck seats filled in nicely during the 1st quarter.

After going to a game in Portland, I envy the small market teams where their NBA team is the only show in town. I was at the most recent Rockets game in Portland and the fans stayed until the very end despite being down by 15 points with 2 minutes to go. It's refreshing to see that kind of dedication.

I believe Texans and Astros are also higher-end price-wise in their respective sports.

I also think (and have posted) HOU sports is really lacking compared to where it should be. That previous conversation resulted in 5 posters all arguing otherwise, with no one agreeing with me, when everybody who read and argued knows what I said was 100% dead on.

    Funny how that worked.

I went to a game a couple of weeks ago a sat in the club section. I can tell you...the people are in the arena, just not in the seats. They are in the club for the first and third quarters. Also, if it is a blow out, they take off super early because they are bringing another client back 2 days later.

To be honest our home crowd is shitty but come playoff time it always steps up. The games against Dallas in the first round two years ago and game 7 against the Clips, they seemed real lively.

Good point on 7:30. Do other arenas have hangout areas for the lower deck though? If so, maybe they struggle too.

I'm in Washington, DC and haven't missed a Rocket @ Wizards game since the Wizards were the Bullets. What bothers me as much as fans not attending home games, the Houston talk radio personalities (790) actually admit they're not Rockets fans (Sean = Knicks). The post game Rockets wrap guy doesn't even think we're contenders. Thank goodness for @The Cat / Ben Dubose and his Locked on Rockets podcast that I listen to daily. Shout out to the first caller every night on Rockets wrap, Miya. :D

Traffic was terrible tonight, took me 30 minutes to go from West U to the Hobby Center

Also, as I have said in other attendance threads, basketball tickets in a lot of cities outside of Houston are incredibly cheap, akin to baseball tickets, that is not the case with the Rockets.
