Just some more context. Apparently the victim and one of the POS a-holes were "aquantances" and the whole reason he was in that part of town was specifically to meet up with him.

Also, they spent the entire New Years weekend together, but he had only been tied up for four or five hours, apparently? Not sure if that means they were on friendly terms before that or not, but it definately seems more complex than randomly picking up a mentally challenged white victim off some street corner.

My anger is tied to the twisted **** I saw in the video, and people like you trying to tie it to other things, like BLM. Simplicity and scapegoating is easy and comforting like a security blanket, but that doesn't excuse stupidity. Dude, BLM has nothing to do with this. Anyone that is making that connection has some curious logic they are using, most likely "They are black...therefore, BLM." I'm not sure where you are getting this from that makes you 100% sure of it.

There was a president that would veto any attempt to repeal his really awful signature legislation, so they just had to wait him out till his term ran out and someone more willing to work with them was in office. Either Hillary or Trump would have sufficed when it comes to that.

 

So I was listening to 97.9 this morning and on the Madd Hatta Morning Show, they were discussing whether A) it was appropriate to charge them with a hate crime (one caller chimed in and said no because there was some other case where it was a white person that did something to a black person who didn't get a hate crime charge - or it was charged but they ended up with a plea deal) and B) if whether or not it would be publicized as much if the races were reversed.

My thoughts on the hate crime portion. I think if it wasn't so obvious (video, and the discussion going on during the video) then these individuals wouldn't be charged with a hate crime. You have to prove that the crime was because of race, which this made it seem like it was. Not all crimes on different races are hate crimes, and that's why there's so few charges because you have to be able to prove it, and typically DA's won't do so if they think they'll lose. So I'm thinking the fact there was video and a lot of anti-white speak is the reason for the hate crime, which I find is warranted (at least until any other facts come out).

For the publicity thing, I do think it would either get equal or greater publicity if the races were reversed. The country seems to be pretty racially charged right now in general, and the video would have fueled those fires. I think we would have also seen the Jesse Jackson, Quanel X, etc. marching in the streets. So not only would you see the video and that news coverage, but much of the coverage on all the protests afterwards (especially depending on how quickly charges were filed, individuals were found, and if a hate crime was charged).

Don't care about a BLM tag or anything. Even if these people said something about BLM, it doesn't mean it was a direct order or anything. Almost akin to radicals from other groups. Can't let them speak for a whole. And I haven't seen anything that suggests these people are within BLM, other than just being black.

 

Yep, and they were charged with hate crimes. That has nothing to do with #BLM, nor was there ever a lack of coverage by the MSM. Try and stay focused.
