I'm not even mad. Savage might actually give them the best to win, 0 picks, but possibly zero to two 1stdownz for the savage. O. but brosweller will be more exciting. Potentially 4 intake by halfte,. But also potentially a.3 score.4th qtr ceback. F it . O'Brien's gonna quit after this season.. then who do you want? The Ryan bros?
ESPN Will Lose $75 Million Televising Raiders-Texans http://www.outkickthecoverage.com/espn-will-lose-75-million-televising-raiders-texans-010217 It's a battle between Matt McGloin/Connor Cook and Tom Savage/Brock Osweiler for the right to advance to play the New England Patriots and be executed on live television.
Wouldn't this apply to any playoff game ESPN is showing? They're paying $100 million for any playoff game (usually the worst one), and they make about only 25 million in pre-paid ad revenue (again, with pre-set prices, regardless of opponent). In the end, ESPN/ABC made a pretty bad choice to overpay for the watered-down MNF package. Would have been better off going for the crappy TNF one... where you at least get decent network TV ratings.... and then ABC/ESPN could also get back into the SB rotation.
If Osweiler throws an early interception the boos will rain down from Reliant Stadium. What will O'Brien do? Brock is not mentally tough enough to handle getting booed loudly by the team's own fans. Remember the loudest cheer this season came when Brock got benched in the Jacksonville game. It will get ugly if Brock sucks like he usually does. Very ugly. It is for this reason that I believe O'Brien will call one of the most conservative, run heavy gameplans you will see this season. He will do everything in his power to hide Brock. If Lamar Miller doesn't reach 100 yards rushing at least, the Texans will not score enough to win this game (unless the defense creates turnovers).
Agree! This is why Connor Cook will manage to keep the game close. Plus you have Janikowski who will attempt any 50 yarder. If Lamar doesn't show up. Texans lose. I don't trust in Brock. He will make mistakes.
Yea this article is wrong last years game vs KC drew 25 million viewers so the math doesn't add up. This years will still draw decent enough even with the bad matchup and the fact that it is simulcast.
Clickbait title. Content of the article has nothing to do with Raiders and Texans teams at all. More "fake news" and I've seen other sources that heavily dispute this dudes numbers too.
The Raiders made it official, Cook will be their starting QB.....also, Savage still hasn't made it through the concussion protocol.
No way can the Texans lose this game at home. Would rather not make the playoffs than losing to a Raider team with a rookie third string starting first ever NFL game.
I kind of feel Osweiler is gonna go all gungslinger in this game. What's he got to lose? If he throws 4 picks, well he was already benched anyway. And if he actually hits some decent passes finally, then he is back in the running for the starting gig.
Oz has nothing to lose; BOB and the rest of the team does. It would suck if the defense plays their ass off again and we lose because Oz has a Hoyer like performance
I just hope Brock has somehow blocked out any knowledge he still has of what Hoyer did for us last post season. Could it be possible to be any worse than that? lol
I don't think there's much chance of that. I mean, Hoyer had something like 6 turnovers between interceptions and fumbles. I don't think Osweiler at his worst is that bad. Of course, I'm hoping that he'll be at his best and we'll get a productive performance from him and a solid win.
