We need to forget about the home run deal right now and pick up more guys who can shoot the ball and hustle or make plays. Guys like Glenn Robinson III, McLemore and Hardaway Jr. Round out the bench and just bolster our depth and lethality - then sign Norris Cole or Chalmers when he is fit.

I could see a few small "insurance" type trades.

I like Tyus Jones as another young PG gamble, similar to Ennis. A PnR heavy guard that can shoot should fit well in MDA's system.

Ennis and a 2017 2nd for Tyus Jones

I think it's pretty obvious that we need a better 3rd PG than Tyler Ennis. The drop off when Beverley doesn't play is tremendous and if Gordon ever misses a game or two it's going to be the same thing. That area needs to be bolstered asap.

Again you have no idea what the Hawks are trying to do right now and are ignoring the fact that both Korver and Thabo are in their early to late 30s and very available.

Need to snag one of Koufus/Noel/Chandler and an upgrade at backup pg over Ennis.

Wish we could get Korver too

Now that D-Mo is a Pelican. Would you trade Brewer, Alejandro Gentile (rights) and a #2 pick for Tyreke Evans and Alexis Ajinca. This gives us another playmaker and score in the back court besides Gordon. Ajinca gives us additional rim protection and size in the front court.

If the player can't shoot or roll to the basket and dunk, I don't see why we would trade for Evans and Ajinca.

I think this would be my preferred bench supporting trade right now
    http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=joggk62

We would also include a future 2nd headed to Toronto along with rights to Lull + a top 20 protected 2018 1st round pick headed to Philadelphia.

Van Vleet would be a PnR maestro with a defensive mindset and ability to knock down open 3.
Covington shores up bench as 3-D wing (whose 3 pt % should increase with open looks in Htown)
Holmes is a legit defensive minded big who has outstanding defensive measures and can even hit 3's (Philly frontcourt is just loaded)

Raptors strengthen (sort of) their backcourt with Canadian native Ennis and also add versatile wing KJ (the real carrots are rights to Llull and future 2nd while unloading Sullinger while Raps pursue Millsap).

Sixers pick up future 1st while clearing space for their future stars.

We also open about $10M in cap space for the upcoming summer free agent period

Zimmerman - don't know much about him other than he's played a total of 31 minutes over 8 games; sounds like garbage time. We need a big who can play meaningful (playoff) minutes.

Is Phoenix getting enough in return? KJ and a 2nd round pick seems light for both Barbosa and Tucker.

I saw him a couple of times, seems like an interesting player but yeah, not what we need most at this point.

About the Suns i don't know, but maybe if they're going in full rebuild...they would still have veterans like Chandler, Dudley in that scenario...in the end Tucker is gone anyway in 4 months, Barbosa is ok but i don't think he has that much value tbh, he's a 9th man off the bench at best, for a rebuilding team, a good 2nd rounder (i think we should've a Portland pick) and a young player with decent potential like KJ might be enough...i can see other contenders going after Tucker though, so who knows...

I just don't see Nurkic making 1.3 this season, 1.4 in 2017-18 and 1.5 in 2018-2019 is going to kill your cap. That's what's known as a cheap young talented big and that's why it will cost you two 1sts. Even adding in Nelson at adding in Nelson at 4.5 this season and 4.8 next season seems like a very reasonable rate for a backup PG. Especially with the Cap going up. I realize somebody else would have to go to make the salaries match.

Maybe Bima could explain the cap ramifications.

This guy can shoot it at the SF, not a bad looking player, just asked to do too much at Philly. Should we give it a try for the MIN?

The only moves we should make are moves to set us up for a chance at a star in the future .

This squad has great chemistry and are converting into wins and we aren't fully healthy yet ... Yes we are a bit thin ... But picking up a piece this year will cost too much I believe .

Better to try and set up assets to set up a future move for a top 10 draft pick or a top pick from a year ago who has not fit with the situation .

The goal for Morey has always been stars . Established stars cost a lot . Both in salary and in assets . Also with stars comes fit concerns .

With a draft pick you get to mold and develop a player and there is a clear chain of hierarchy .

Why did the sixers waive Thompson? Dude is a 40% three point shooter

This should be a sweet pick up for anyone looking for a shooter

The Rockets should waive Bobby Brown, and pick up Hollis. It's good to have an extra shooter.
