oh trust me I don't wish for the guy to get injured and if it came off that way, I apologize. I'm just saying history is not on DMo's side.

How bout a Tip Jar bet redo: I'll contribute to the Tip Jar if DMo scores more than 10 points against us?

    1. Very few people in and around the league cares what D-Mo think. He lacks both the tenure and credibility of an established player/veteran. Up until he "broke out" 2 seasons ago, he was nothing more than a scrub. Now, his back's future has some serious questions. His lack of significant contract offers both in RFA and UFA proves this.

    2. People here love to whine about Morey and the Rocket's supposed reputation, but that hasn't stopped AB from signing back with us multiple times. It hasn't stopped Ariza from coming back for a 2nd time. It hasn't stopped players like Howard, Nene, Ryno, and Ego from signing with us. Players want to play where they can win or at least fit.

    3. Players b**** when they don't get what they want; Asik, White, Thorton, D-Mo, ect. This is nothing new. When FA's are approached by the Rockets however, who do you think they will ask, those has-been/never-was players or players like Harden, Ariza, Ego, and Ryno who have been in the league for a while and are known to be respected by their peers?

He could probably score 20-23 on our current bigs, assuming he's healthy the the rust has worn off.

Thank god for our bad reputation that players like Melo, Bosh, and the great Bazemore had rejected our begging and signed with other teams.

We should definitely keep this bad reputation going forward.

Melo and Bosh re-signed with their own teams. Usually, unless they are unhappy with their teams, players don't leave. In Bosh's case, he was actually ready to sign with us before Heat gave him that max with an extra year. In hindsight, we definitely dodged a bullet there. Bazemore is the only one that has actively scorned us.

    4. Morey could have kept DMo as a RFA -- that option was made available to him by the league. Either make him a UFA now or keep him as a RFA. Morey chose to let him go, essentially doing DMo the favor of letting him earn some money elsewhere this season instead of sit at home and not get paid a dime. DMo was wronged by his idiot agent, not by Murray.

$576,724 to be exact. Good job BJ

The posters on the Pelicans message board think they are getting a good rebounder.

There has to be something to do with Morey. At least he backed up at the end. According to DMo, they had the agreements before DMo was sent home. The medical issue was just the excuse. If Rockets not play as well as right now or DMo is desperately needed, they wouldnt even care about the additional medical information. It seems DMo has passed both Nets and Pelican's medical test.

If he plays and is healthy - then we just let a 7' left handed, super skilled, smart player walk for nothing.

Ah, you mean numbers like we pay 20m for in Ryan Anderson....yes, gotcha.

Hell no, that is the job of the GM, to build a team with quality players, to win a championship, if this comes out that it was an ego pissing contest between Morey and Dmo, then no way anyone should let it go.....

I want the full story, as we get some glimpses of it from his interview - it is fairly CLEAR that DMo does not like Morey or feels he did him dirty in some way.

This may be true, it may be that Morey was just a hardcore biz guy and DMo needs to learn that side of the equation.

I have always found it best to be honest always, and as such, if Dmo asked Morey if he would trade him, I would PREFER that Morey tell him that he will trade anyone if it helps the team but is not actively looking.

That to me, is how you handle your business....and it may be that Morey did exactly that, but it sounds like that is not what Dmo thinks.

In the end, I don't give a **** about any of that, what I care about is if he is healthy we just lost a HUGE piece to winning, a guy who is versatile at the PF/C spot, that can move the needle and the ball.

And THAT is opposite of what a GM should do..

Well, nothing from Morey. And I also saw nothing that even said, "sources inside the Rockets say". Also, it shows he doesn't consider Joel Blank part of the media. Didn't his comments to Blank make it into other tweets and articles?

btw: Has anyone else noticed that the Facebook page for ESPN Houston says " According to Joel Blank, Motiejunas told him that he failed his physical for the Houston Rockets." ?? This was on Dec 10th (the Saturday Mavs game when DMo was told to go home).

this is where you have always been wrong and never accepted that he is a mediocre player from day 1. Definitely doesn't move the needle. the league openly showed you his value

He probably wouldn't have been on team beyond this season. Taking minutes away from Harrell/Dekker, two players that have future value both on the court and via trade, would have hurt the team going forward.

I used to think that but barring his back injury he could have ended up just being a tad better than mediocre, a good role player.

But his back and no motivation to at least prove himself another year in Houston, plus the Morey and his agent dilemma made it impossible.

I still wish him 'Be Well'.
