Hopefully Dekker gets his second wind back soon. Legs back. He is not use to playing this many games.
He could rest during the All-Star break "if" he doesn't play in a Freshman-Sophomore game.
The FT shooting currently: Ariza 68.2%, Brewer 69.0%, Dekker 58.6%. Hope no teams have noticed.
ORtg for Dekker would stay high if he continues to do other things offensively.

Watching the Denver- Sac game right.

The perfect fits for this team are Nurkic and Nelson.

I wonder what it would take to get them?

Maybe something like Dekker/1st and a future 1st? This would give the Rockets a talented young Center and a playoff grizzled PG. Sign Dorrel Wright and they're set.

Man Jae Crowder would be a nice get but Boston doesn't need anything we have. If we could enter as a 3rd team of a trade, maybe to help them get Boogie or something, we might be able to put something together. Even then though I would bet Boston could just outbid anything we try to put up to get him. Imma kick this can, but Jae Crowder would be a fantastic fit.

Since the Hawks are still the 5th seed in the East, don't know if they trade Millsap. Orlando was willing to give Millsap a max contract, so perhaps he'd be OK with a trade to the Magic.

[Orlando Sentinel - December 20, 2015] Paul Millsap: The Magic's free-agency pitch in July 'was great'
"A few minutes after the free-agency period opened, Magic GM Rob Hennigan and assistant general manager Scott Perry met with Millsap in Atlanta and offered him a maximum-salary contract."

Work in your scenario where Elfrid Payton is swapped for either Eric Bledsoe or Brandon Knight.

Toss in another one of Codman's possible ATL targets with PJ Tucker (cyberx - see Feb 2016 thread)
    ... and you get:

    4-team trade (using above references)
Hawks in: Tyson Chandler, Aaron Gordon
Magic in: Paul Millsap, select one→ { Eric Bledsoe, or Brandon Knight }, Corey Brewer, Derrick Jones Jr.
Rockets in: Tiago Splitter, PJ Tucker
Suns in: Nikola Vucevic, Elfrid Payton, Jeff Green (expiring), KJ McDaniels

Read that sentence again, I was questioning how valuable of a commodity he really is to the Hawks last two seasons as he's always on trade block. And not all commodities are of high or equal value, value differs depending on supply and demand. Not a lot of demand for 36 year old specialists. Again not against Korver per se, just do not want him in lieu of rim protector or another 3-D player. And would prefer guys under 30. Korver is a luxury on this team not a need. Rockets are averaging an insane 120 points in December. Korver needs to provide much more than what Brewer and Dekker are doing, especially when shots are not falling. Like rebounds, running floor like maniac, being able to switch on D, etc. And usage will be an important factor, because Korver needs to do more in much fewer minutes. He will not be getting 30 minutes with Rockets.

Beard and MDA need several 3-D wings, especially in case of injury and especially in postseason. It is inane to think that Rockets cannot use more Ariza type players especially against teams with deep rosters and multiple scorers in first 5. Just as Capela is also the starting rim protecting big, doesn't mean we don't need another.

Again, Korver is a luxury. We need to use our feeble trade resources on needs first.

Yeah, in the end there're probably so many pieces available right now that the possibilities are almost endless...

Just playing after taking the cue from your post, what about:

    Hawks in: Ibaka, Hezonja

Magic in: Millsap, 2nd rounder (via Atlanta), Bledsoe, Brewer

Rockets in: Tucker, Barbosa, Zimmermann (under the radar move by Morey?)

Suns in: Payton, Jeff Green, KJ, 2nd rounder (via Houston)

Not sure it would perfectly work salary wise but shouldn't be that far...

I get it you want needs first. I'm looking for best value for return covering our assets are minimal. I'd prefer Danny Green, but he's not coming through that door for what we have. What cheap 3 + D is out there. They are all the rave now and won't come cheap.

IMO I would rather trade kj/2nd for korver rather than kj/2nd for Jordan hill. One gets a solid rotation player the other just depth at a position of weakness.

And I disagree with korver didn't bring a need. He gives us the 3+D player with extreme 3 and not as much D. Conversely he provides what brewer and dekker don't and that's shooting. Dekker had hit the wall and had struggled lately and we knew brewer.

Also if an injury where to happen to Gordon or bev, he fills in the spot up shooting and efficiency.

You have no idea of the current state of the Hawks with that opinion.

He isn't. Same as korver isn't the same as old.

But he is still very solid and would be a good veteran bench player and still plays very good within himself. Just because a player is declining doesn't mean he is useless.

Yeah, I am sure KJ and Brewer will fix that.

No one is asking him to be Tyson Chandler of old. I'm just asking for "I just grabbed 20 rebounds in last night's game" Tyson Chandler

A really good young big is going to cost you.

With how the Rockets are playing those picks will be in the 20's. You would be lucky to find a 7 ft guy that is good as Nurkic with either of those picks. Plus you get the vet 3rd PG this team is lacking when Bev inevitably gets hurt again.

Two 20 something picks isn't worth a 23 yr old center who is really good and can be an answer to the center position along with Capella for the next decade. 2 late 1sts are a small price to pay. IMHO for now and in the future.

Is there any reason to assume that if we traded for Gay, he would undergo a renaissance under D'Antoni and provide a fourth scoring option coming off the bench or starting for the squad? I feel like he can be had for cheap simply due to him obviously wanting out from Sactown and them seemingly being well off without him.

Best case, he takes us to the top. Worst case, he is an expiring contract because he will opt out of his PO.

More so than the picks, your future and flexibility is shot. You would be trading 2017 and 2019 1st rd picks for a decent at best center prospect. Harden could put out by the second draft pick which ,if that we're to happen, would be a high pick. You could lotto protect it easily but still that is too much to give up for such a bland player, and I like the guy.

For both 1sts you could probably get Gallo and Wilson chandler

I think, similar to the millsap ordeal, we should just help be facilitators and grab secondary pieces to improve the team.
