He's literally never had a passing TD before and Osweiler has had games where he didn't turn the ball over, including the very last game played.....so yeah. I'm not sure what you are basing those odds on, but my guess would be feels.
Not quite true. Savage threw for 260. Os threw for 268 against the Chiefs and 269 against the Colts (albeit with an OT).
He's literally played 7 quarters of football in his career. Has Brock gone 7 consecutive quarters without throwing an interception?
All these media leaks lead me to believe that the team will come out looking like absolute **** on Saturday. I can also see O'Brien resigning soon after the game, leaving Rick Smith and Bob McNair with their ****s in their hands.
LOL, you know what, I'm not even going to bother continuing to argue which turd of a QB is better. I'll just let those who are Savage truthers continue to be surprised about why he's not starting and to keep the legend alive. You would have thought Keenum was back.
Just win! pray for a miracle in FlashDance city for the dolphins, destroy the chiefs and have clowney end brady's season with a vicious hit in a 30-0 loss @ AFC championship game. The patriots go on to lose to the packers Texans Go to the draft on a high note and take Lamp, Mahones and best right guard. It's very doable.** **training camp begins and we lose all our draftees to anemia, blood clots and unknown disease. just not going to mention the misfortune part of the city curse.
It would be for the best if we lost the AFC championship game to the Pats though in order to avoid the "Worst team in the SB ever" narratives and those upset about the bad draft spot.
There are no Savage truthers here, just correct people who understand that Savage is better than Osweiler. You've flip flopped so many times already on our QB. First you said there was no chance Savage would get playing time this season unless Os got hurt. Then you said Savage gives the team the best chance to win, now you are taking it all back and saying that he was bad in the whopping 8 total quarters he has played this season. I've never seen someone flip flop off of 8 quarters of assessment in my life.
BREAKING: Texans, Raiders agree to hire Peyton Manning as all-time quarterback for their wildcard game
Things change as the season goes on. That's how it is. Osweiler played poorly so Savage was given a chance. Savage played poorly then got hurt so Osweiler gets another chance. Why that shocks so many people is kind of funny to me. It's pretty straight forward and obvious.
I had to look it up and yes, he actually has. No INT's in 2nd half against Lions, the first game against JAX, and the first quarter against Oakland. 7 quarters exactly. He also did it once in Denver.
LOL, I'm glad someone looked it up. That means that yes Osweiler has gone 7 quarters without throwing a pick yet Savage has still never thrown a TD pass despite numerous opportunities to do so (off the top of my head I think it's about 5) and he couldn't even move the ball past the 50 in his last game before he got hurt. Hopefully that can end the conversation. Savage is no savior even if Osweiler isn't any good. It's 2 bad QB's, one with very little experience, even less success, and a concussion the other coming off a moderately successful game. Will these QB's improve over the off-season? Maybe. It's impossible to say, but as of right now, there's no serious discussion to be had.
Osweiler passed for only 15 touchdowns in 58 Quarters this season. That equates to about 1 touchdown for every 4 Quarters. So it is quite possible that Osweiler also went 7 Quarters without throwing a touchdown.
Its pretty clear that if Savage was healthy, he'd still be the QB. That is where your entire argument falls short... not to mention your orgasm over realizing that Brock has actually gone exactly just 7 quarters without throwing one of his tremendous picks. But hey... perhaps after 14.5 games of piss-poor QB play... maybe Brock will be better? Funny that you'll give him the benefit of the doubt over nearly a full season of god-awful play, but you'll still harp on the lack of a TD pass in just under 2 full games.
If he had stayed healthy, Osweiler would have never gone back in and been given a second chance and I wouldn't be telling people that it was obvious that he was going to start the game. Hell, if he never got hurt, I'd be all for starting him and seeing what he can do......but he did get hurt and he showed nothing in the time he was playing that would suggest that he was so good that he should start even with no prep work and no practice. That's what I've been saying this whole time.
