I only saw one call phantom call.

Wizards should be happy James missed layups, and we shot poorly in the 1st Q. None happened because of their good defense.

I could understand frustration at a call or two in a close game, but it was a double figure victory.

nah, it's gotta be Kelly Oubre, he was assigned to guard Harden and there is an article saying he does a lot of film study on players.

    http://www.csnmidatlantic.com/washi...film-has-helped-kelly-oubre-jr-emerge-wizards

The thing is, I kind of get why it could be frustrating for the opponents and they are justified to feel this way if Harden had like 20 trips to the free throw line in a single game, but last night he 'only' went 10 times, and most of the calls Harden got was legit. As others have already pointed out, maybe there was one shady call, but other than that it was just what players normally do when they're trying to draw contact and nothing particularly egregious.

And many players these days have adopted Harden's strategy to get fouled and use it in their own game; for instance Jimmy Butler had 22 free throws last night in his 52 point game, and actually has higher share of his points coming from free throws relative to his average PPG.

Best game of the YEAR, we only played one game this year so far. The best game of season was either twolves comeback or double ot vs warriors.

Great win. This is a game where we really could have used Bev and Capela. On a night we were struggling with our shooting, we could have used another 40% 3pt shooter(Bev). And we could have used both Bev and Capela on defense. Great win.

I bet it was Beal or Wall. Even though they were playing well they spent most of the game yelling at the refs

Yeah, well, if I remember right....Harden got a couple phantom or touch fouls called on him too.

You get em when you're good enough to drive to the rack. Also, when you're savvy enough to bait people into putting their hands in your cookie jar. It's like moving screens, it's not a foul if you run around it. You have to run into it and take the bump. Then and only then is it a foul.

If Harden doesn't come up under your hand and shoot, it isn't a foul. It IS when he does though. I've been asking all season, who is gonna play disciplined enough defense to keep their hands up? Not hand check him, not reach, not hack? Stay on the floor for pump fakes? AND Stay in front of him and make him a jump shooter AND hope he as an off night shooting?

    It's called being great.

If they don't like it they should petition the NBA to change the rules.

All rockets need are 4-5 minutes a night of great defense to win a lot of games.

Same thing the Suns had to do under MDA.

It makes for a fun season.

not likely. both of those guys are good friends with harden. they wouldn't put him on blast like that. it's always the scrubs that try and make some noise when its over. wall and beal stayed after the game was over and it was all smiles talking to harden

As I've already pointed out, I'm 99% sure that it's Kelly Oubre. He was Harden's main defender, does a lot of film study according one article, and was visibly frustrated throughout the whole game. But yeah, Harden actually has good relationship with players around the league, and most of them have no problem with his style of play (some of them even copies Harden's strategy themselves)

yes, and the word 'starstruck' implies that the person using that word is not a star. why would a legit superstar or an all-star criticize the league as starstruck? doesn't make sense. Fu*k Kelly Oubre.
