Dunno why people hate on Bill... I mean, "GOT IT! JAMES HARDEN WITH A COLD BLOODED SHIMMY SHIMMY" is just awesome and slightly nonsensical yet makes complete sense, and is something only he can come up with.

Gonna miss him when he retires.

Firing McHale for Bickerstaff wasn't much of an improvement.

Mike D'Antoni's hiring and the roster changes that perfectly fits the style D'Antoni intends to play are the true difference maker.

I had to catch up on this game but was very happy with the outcome. The Roxs are beating the teams they are suppose to beat !!!!!

They were all saying it. McHale is a media darling, media didn't appreciate his firing. It's one of the reasons the hate was so strong against Harden last year.

Makes sense, as a Rockets fan I'm naturally trained to tune out the media

that, and that he was fired after only 11 games. I think most people thought it was a mistake because they thought the firing was unfair, not that McHale was the ultimate coach for all time.

It's more of the timing-- happening relatively early in a season right after a trip to the Conference Finals (and a contract extension). So, it did not look like McHale got a fair chance. The coaching change to JB Bickerstaff also didn't do a whole lot-- low seed, first round exit.

Was D'Antoni or any other outside candidates ever considered mid-season? I guess with Dwight still around hiring D'Antoni would have been a no-go.

    Drunk Harden goes Tri-Dub.

    Posters acted like he'd 18/5/6 30% FG.

He played good defense overall too.

mchale should have been fired after the portland series. what a ridiculous waste of harden's prime it was with that incompetent buffoon running the team

A lot of the media last year disagreed with the firing. Made Houston look like the bad guys and that it was Harden's fault.

You are joking right? I will take Gordon over Klay right now. Granted Harden is by far the best guard in the league right now, but Gordon on his hot day is in the same street. Gordon right now is beasting.

I don't think Morris, they showed him and Harden hugging after the game, and he didn't look at all upset.
