I think he needs to extend his range. He's already way out there most of the time but he can't get off the shot sometimes.

If he can shoot 33% from halfcourt it might be worth it

I'm thinking he's a 40% guy who mostly shoots 5 ft behind the line, because that is where he is open. But he is covered back there a lot too. he doesn't get enough shots off though overall. That is why I suggest he extend his range.

This thread not being bumped when Anderson has a big game is a disservice to the community.

Just want to note that Anderson dominated Melo before Melo went out. I think Melo wanted to play to pad his all star votes and Anderson sent him home lol.

    From the Chron:
Ryan Anderson is averaging 18 points on 50 percent shooting in his past 11 games.

Imagine that spacing if the opposing 4 guards him at the half court line all night. Would pay 28 million.

For 18 million this year he can feel free to continue to do that for 50+ more games.

On a serious note, is there seriously still anyone here who doesn't think Anderson is worth at least $15m? Was he worth forgetting about over $3.74m that we wouldn't have done anything with anyway?

wow at ryan anderson for making Dwight, Capela and Harrell obsolete tonight...that was some rim protection in the second half...earning that 18.74 and many more tonight

Why yes, yes he does. Some of have said this all along after watching this team. Anderson creates space and it can't just be replaced with any old player out there. Here's a great snippet from an article on the ringer:
