Kyle,Ty and BobbyBrown(the one without a white nose) are superb teammates. Even without the playing time and stats, they bring an unnoticed effort on the bench each night. They celebrate the accomplishments of the team/players and they show camaraderie through their encouragement of their peers, both in times of joy and defeat.

These NBA players have freakish talent, but unlike the majority of us, "people skills" may not be critical to their craft. With most jobs/ companies, you have to "buy in" to a cohesive vision. NBA organizations require the same type of agreement, and if a player chooses to ignore a shared philosophy of conduct, the potential to stick out like a sore thumb can quickly become a reality.

Is it possible to feel alone when your clique--as well as a friend with some "respect" from the coaching staff--is no longer with you on a daily basis? Is it simply a lack of energy in practice, as well as ignoring constructive feedback from leaders and support staff? And, could you alienate yourself to a point that, when your family works on an off-court relationship while you function solo, you disappear, perhaps by choice, on the bench?

    Beats me.

Random thought maybe KJ is happy to get paid and not play. Another team WILL pick him up after he is done with the Rockets if he plays or not. In an odd way he MAYBE trying to protect himself from injury and poor stats.

    Just a thought.

Lol, I posted this thread before Harden's incredible night by the way.[/QUOTE]
you posted it during the game. Meaning it was the best you could do watching a historical game. Best you can do is whine about roleplayer PT. So wierd you watch a game in that manner much less start a thread about it during the game, much less a thread with 3-4 active ones on the same subject

You just wanted your own thread to whine in, andprobably couldnt even enjoy the game. But at least you got ur own thread about KJ and Brewer to add to the 5 other ones

KJ just needs to stop sulking and play like his hairs on fire with any minutes he gets. The kid is selfish, cares more about his success more than the team's. I loved this trade initially but he's really been a disappointment so far.

People say this & that about KJ. The part you don't factor in is Brewer is allowed to play thru mistakes while KJ is not. I think KJ brings more to the table than Cory and has more potential. The question is why doesn't he have the same leash Cory does?

Bad body language. No one wants to champion or even give chances to the guy who is always negative.

From what I can see, the only person whining here is you, whining about how someone is critiquing a player you presumably ride the jockstrap of.

Other than that, maybe I didn't see the other threads. I didn't realize you were a mod heypartner, I guess after you have been crawling around her for 18 years the best you can do is be a troll.

    Happy New Year buddy.

Brewer is struggling right now but he is still a vet and acts like one. The only problem with the guy is his shot is not falling. Kj looks like a chicken with his head cut off and has no idea what to do or where he needs to stand. He hides in his turtle shell sulks and is lost out there. If anything someone might be willing to give Brewer a fresh start on another team while KJ will probably get us another useless bench warmer. Brewer could be a filler or add on to a trade package.

Corey Brewer is sooooo unfairly disrespected in HTown. How about giving the Greyhound credit for the one bright spot in the last 20 years (Western Conference Finals). He was the key player when the ship was about to sink. He has always been incredible in the biggest games. He is as clutch as they come. Regular season is meaningless...it is the playoffs that count and you definitely want him with you in the trenches when the chips are down and everybody else is choking due to the pressure of the playoffs. FYI....we ain't gonna be making 20+ threes in the playoff games and don't have much size, so we will be in desperate need of proven playoff clutch performers like Brewer on our side.

People will tolerate your mistakes if they like you, to an extent. Brewer has been a professional everywhere he's been. McDaniels isn't getting along with anyone now that Dwight is gone, if Codman's hints are correct. And his body language on the court is terrible. People will tolerate that too if you're really good, but he isn't. Brewer has a higher career FG%, is a better defender, and sports a positive AST:TO ratio unlike KJ who turns the ball over 1.5 times for every assist. They are identical from three, so in what category does he bring more to the table? I don't like Brewer either, but he's had a better career than KJ, even in KJ's Philly year.

Good to see some posters sticking up for Brewer. Whatever his faults, the guy plays hard and knows to play within the system.

If KJ is truly has that bad of an attitude then they should trade him or release him. If his attitude was so bad why did morey give him that contract though?

I just don't see how brewer is a net positive. He gets burned on defense constantly. He has no shot. He can't dribble. He can't pass. And he commits dumb fouls. But he Hustles? what does he do? He is the one looking like a chicken with his head cut off.

Maybe if kj got some minutes his attitude would improve

From what I've seen KJ has always been pretty bad when playing garbage time, D league, summer league, or any time he's one of the top players on the court given the ball and expected to be a play maker. Put Clint Capela a proven solid player in the same scenario, give him the ball at the top of the key to go 1 on 1 and see what happens. It's just not their game, doesn't mean they don't have value.

KJ has looked great when playing in real minutes with Harden, understanding the role as the 5th option playing D, running the court and roaming the baselines, that's just who he is.

When talking about Brewer or KJ playing with Bev, Gordon, Dekker, and Trez for 10 minutes a game it's a toss up, but if you need a spot start for Bev then from what I've seen KJs clearly the guy.

I agree with Strawb. KJ has played well at times when it's not garbage time and when he's playing with better players. He looked really good for part of the summer and then just disappeared from the rotation. I think he needs playing time to improve-5 minutes every few games isn't going to do it. He might not get that playing time here.

I can understand if he is upset (though we are assuming he has a bad attitude). He looked really good this summer, much better than Brew and then he didn't get any playing time for it. KJ is not just athletic; he can really defend. He needs another chance and never really got one here.

Remember, KJ has be glued to the bench by THREE coaches now. Clearly the guy has issues, either with his attitude, during practice, or both. McHale didn't play him. JBB didn't play him. MDA doesn't play him. When a player's issues spans 3 different coaches, the issue is with the player. That said, Sewer's saving grace is that he keeps KJ, Ennis, and Brown on the bench.

The minutes he has played, he looked only for his shots. I'm quite sure he is also a bad practice player, probaly doesn't really practice like a game. And he is making more than Capela, Nene and Harrell.

Brewer was good tonight. He still can't make a three, but his energy and hustle gave the team a kickstart when they were dead in the water.
