Brewer got a lot of minutes BUT we added injury prone EGo and Ryno?

I apologize for doubting the Rockets :(

We can all be forgiven for doubting, after last year.

I'd say the Rockets are an improved offensive team but they have multiple pieces missing. An above average season, if everyone stays healthy.

There is no way I would have predicted Harden, Ego, and Ryno being an offensive juggarnaut w/ the record-breaking threes, the emergence of Sam and Montrezl, Beverley playing very focused defense, the marked improvement of Capela, and the response of these players to MDA's system.

I don't know who this D-Mo guy is.

dwight is unplayable in todays nba, your bigs must be able to shoot. the new age bigs like zinger, and towns are leading a new era, and the dwights and drummonds will be on lottery teams. The best thing that happened was dwight opting out, none of this is possible without him doing that

I think it was more about accepting the role. Dwight could have easily done what Capela has been doing, but just wouldnt. I do think everyone from 1-4 has to be able to shoot though

I wish I would have supported the D'Antoni hiring as a contrarian. I'd look really smart right now. But I didn't. I wanted Jeff Van Gundy. Now we score more in a half than we did in whole games under JVG. I might have been wrong.

Right. There are plenty of centers who can't shoot, and our current starting C is one of them. Certainly doesn't render you "unplayable" if you're willing to play within a system.

pretty much, there's room in the paint for one guy provided that guy is putting defensive pressure towards the rim, but any more than that, and any guard who can't shoot may as well not exist.

I've always been a (wait and see)/(you still have to play the games) guy. Stop jumping the gun, your blood pressure will thank you.

MDA was a surprise hire but I thought his system could work after watching youtube videos with the pieces aquired (I think I made a thread about it). Never did I think he would be this good though.

    That makes no sense.

The dream scenario would have been all of this and Dwight turning the corner to accept his role as a pick and role player for Harden and not caring about his post touches and "having a larger role in the offense". If Dwight had that attitude, Capela would just be the poor man's Dhoward, because thats exactly what he brings to the table minus the elite defense and rebounding.

We assume Clint can't shoot.. I've seen video of Clint shooting! I agree with your point though.
