I mean, the dude has the 8th lowest PER amongst players with over 400 minutes. 8 lowest. So you'd think he would be on the court for his D - except he is one of the worst defensive players in the league as well. He is a negative on both ends....just a terrible player - and yet - somehow - he is playing more minutes than McDaniels. I'm sorry but KJ is just a better player. Only because it's hard to be WORSE than Brewer since he doesn't do much particularly well.
Because he plays hard, within the system, has a much better attitude and isn't enough of a liability to care because we have been winning. I had high hopes for KJ, but he may be better off playing with his bud DHo unless he does a 180.
Where have you heard that KJ doesn't work hard and doesn't have a good attitude? I haven't heard anything like that so am curious.
Because KJ is not good. Reference: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/kj-mcdaniels-is-not-good.273309/
im gonna go with the trade rumor. if brewer gets traded then kj gets burn. and cuz brewer isnt completely useless they're gonna give him the spot minutes kj would've got. only thing brewer has on kj is experience. they both run the floor well, suck at shooting, can cut and slash to the rim. with consistent pt kj will get his rotations down and wont be lost, as it is with every other player in a new system! ffs pple
Compared to Brewer anyone is good. Brewer has made Brendan Jennings and Ray Felton look like super star point guards (and both of them have been playing awful until feasting on Brewer). He has no business defending point guards. None.
Brewer is not a terrible defensive player, that's just some narrative people create because they hate his offense. Brewer is a very poor player because his offensive game is so detestable, but at least he can be on the court without f**king things up, which is more than I can say for KJ. He doesn't seem to have any clue what's happening, and plays every minute like it's a pickup game at Fonde.
Because if Brewer can't get any court time, he won't be tradable. He's hardly tradable now, but imagine if he can't get on the court at all.
Brewer sucks, but KJ's even worse. Just have to accept that if he ever turns into Gerald Wallace, it's not going to be here (unless he grows two inches and is able to play the 4).
I defended Brewer early. But he's really not a good player. And and I actually like Brewer dont hate him at all. KJ is absolutely built to be a point guard defender, thats a strength of his. Yes KJ has a bad attitude especially compared to Brewer. And coaches are about winning games, not coddling and babying players. But it is important for coach to keep their players engaged too. But then I believe in bettering your weak links to make the whole stronger, not totally blocking it out.
