For one reason, nobody else in the league had yet realized the true value of the 3 ball. Most people are admitting they are shooting more 3's because they have to, not because they want to. It's effectiveness is undeniable, so it's an evolve or die situation. If a super dominant post player comes along, it may change, but for the vast majority of players posting them up simply isn't efficient. Teams realize the best way to defend a post player is to defend him straight up, leaving the shooters is where you get killed. One of the reasons the clutch city teams got so good is because we started shooting a ton of 3's by the standard of the era.
I went to Aldi the other day. I wanted some 2015 Stan Van Gundy Chardonnay but instead they only had a box of Dan D'Antoni Chianti Tasted ok. Was cheap.
