I would be surprised if the Nuggets trade him at this point, unless they can get a PG to replace Mudiay. Markus Smart is an obvious target for them, the Celtics can pair Horford with Nurkic to improve their defense and rebounding. My gut fell is that the Nuggets are shopping Faried and would be happy to split C minutes between Jokic and Nurkic. As for the Rockets, Nurkic is probably too expensive to get. Not sure what assets we have that the Nuggets would like. They got 2 first rounds for freaking Mozgov, getting Nurkic would require at least that much. He would be an awesome addition though, and worth monitoring his situation.
Brewer is only bad because the Rockets are one of the best teams in the NBA, obviously he looks terrible beside the other players we have. But ever since he arrived on the Rockets he has been a coach favorite, Mchale, JB and now even MDA gives him solid PT every game. These 3 guys collectively have more NBA knowledge than the entire board combined, why would they even give Brewer any PT if he sucks so bad he doesn't even belong in the NBA. Its hyperbole to call him a bad player on any team, I would rather have him on the squad than a prima donna like Rudy Gay who doesn't even try on defense and just takes bad mid range shots all game long. Brewer's 36 mins averages: 9.2 pts, 5.8 rebs, 2.2 assists, .5 blocks. His win share/48 is .5, league average is .1 so basically he's half an NBA starter. He has a role as backup bench guy on a good team and a bench guy on a bad team. A lot of other teams can do much worse than Brewer, if I was a sorry ass team he would be ok as someone who will stay positive, try to implement the coach's game plan no matter what and energize the entire team. If the Rox didn't have full roster spots and need to free up salary I wouldn't mind keeping him as insurance, I'd rather have him on the squad than Bobby Brown or Ennis, for example.
White guy? Check. European heritage? Check. Marginally talented? Check. GM DaDakota is already preparing a contract.
Having to trade for Koufos would just make Morey's failure to get DMo on the team that much worse. You'd be giving away assets to get a lesser player on a less favorable contract.
Y'all should read Club Trillionare by Mark Titus, who was a notoriously funny 12th man on Ohio State. His book gives hilarious insight not only on college basketball, but about his teams as well. Oden was a nerdy guy, love magic. Titus is really critical of Koufus. Thought he was a prick teammate and gave a lot of examples why he was so unliked. I'd pass.
Yeah, he's a good situational big. Right now our biggest problems are against teams like the Grizzlies and Jazz...and there is a very good chance we play either of these teams in the first round. We need more size to at least provide some resistance for bigs like Gobert and Gasol
Nah, he's actually on a decent contract for what he does. Not DD material unless he's injury prone and extremely overpaid. Also, everything you said. Lol.
How much money that BBHolic had to pay Morey under the table to pull off this deal? And how long will the league to take to investigate to even let this one completed?
wow, I did not know actually you are sharing accounts with BBholic, of course now everything makes sense.
Yup, that's CJ. GlenOak had a few professional athletes in school at once: Kosta, CJ, Brian Hartline (NFL WR), and Errick McCollum (who plays professionally in CBA).
