You'd have to give the Kings pick(s) to make that deal work. Koufos actually has value to teams as a big man and Brewer is a negative at this point.
This is how I picture a meeting between Morey and the Kings' GM went after we offered Brewer for Koufos
It's hard to imagine either of those deals happening, but I'd be in favor of both. Would give us solid players who can give productive minutes at literally every spot on the roster except for Bobby Brown.
Didn't realize it until just now, but I believe we have 2nd round picks from Denver and Portland in 2017. Those are 39 and 41 overall with the current standings.
Like the player and we have nobody like him, but flexibility? If we get rid of Brewer, the idea it was to create cap space/flexibility, not to get a longer contract.
the kings might make the 8th seed, and the vibe i get from the Kings FO is that they are shooting for a playoff spot. so i think they want some real value in return. don't think picks+brewer get it done. i don't know if kj tips the scale even.
KIngs are currently 8th in the conference and may not want to trade Koufos until they give up on the season. Rockets need them to go on a long losing streak and throw their hands up in the air.
I don't know guys. Brewer's value is so bad we might have to considering the thing none of us wanted to do. We might have to throw in the rights to Sergei Lishouk to get this done. Don't freak out if it happens.
