Bagwell has now gained 10 votes of the projected 12 he would need to get in if all that voted for him last year voted for him again.

Heyman is a moron. How do you possibly justify Posada while excluding Bags? Guys like this should not have the PRIVILEGE of having a ballot.

Honestly, that ballot is kind of funny if you just take a step back. Heyman going the popularity contest route more so than logic, that much is clear.

Hopefully Baggy has made enough gains elsewhere to make Heyman irrelevant, but what a joke of a ballot. Did he do come up with this ballot by throwing darts? Blackmail? I hope the publicity of ballots has an effect on the voters, but it's up to the fans to point out the idiocy of some of these ballots.

What a goon. What an absolute goon.

Not that it matters, because he's an idiot, but does he offer any explanation?

Yeah, I've seen more than a few fans express outrage that he has Posada over Bagwell - but, for me, McGriff is far and away the most egregious selection. They play the same position and McGriff is statistically inferior.

    As I tweeted to Heyman:

He's reached grade-A troll status at this point.

Saw that. No way he responds, but I sure would love to see his rationale. Thanks for your hard work!! You've done a great job

Posada has a strong case for the HOF, but certainly not over Bagwell. McGriff vote is baffling in comparison, but Lee Smith is the one that should be left off. Lee Smith is the worst player on Heyman's ballot.

Lee Smith is the ultimate in baseball people putting far too much value in compiled numbers. Because he was the all-time saves leader, they are willing to overlook the fact that in reality he was just a decent closer who managed to hang around for a long time. He basically did what Luke Gregersen did for us in 2015, only he did it for 15 years.

As for McGriff, we know the reason they vote for him over Baggy. Never mind facts, or evidence, they think one guy cheated and the other didn't, end of story. It's stupid, but mercifully trash like Heyman now seem to be a shrinking minority.

Except... Heyman voted for both Bonds & Pudge. I understand ("understand" does not mean "agree") with the idea that Bonds, pre-'98, was a Hall of Famer and the mental gymnastics associated with voting for him despite being anti-PEDs.

But Pudge? I mean... His second year was Canseco's first with the Rangers - the amount of suspicion around him is vastly more significant than it has ever been with Bagwell.

I know. Why now? Why just taint somebody/anybody's HOF at this point?

Every HOF class for the past 50+ years has had a PED user.

Seriously, go **** yourself Jim Bowden.

Bagwell has now gained the estimated 12 votes needed from previous voters who did not vote for him last year.

I just want this to be final!!!

You're doing the lord's work, but I'm not sure how you can interact with some of these guys.

I've called Heyman a dumb**** for years now, and he's done nothing to disprove it.

Posada, yes. Edgar Martinez instead of Bagwell is a ****ing joke (and I loved watching Edgar hit). Sorry, but using a glove is a pretty integral part of playing baseball.

There is no excuse for anyone to vote for McGriff over Bagwell. Not slighting McGriff at all, he was a hell of a player but he belongs in the Hall of Very Good.
