Ariza ejection clip. Ariza: "He called my baby a b****." Ariza's children made the trip to Dallas to attend the game

He was but his style is becoming outdated. The game is moving towards a faster pace style right now. I think The old Suns team under D'Antoni would have thrived in todays less contact allowed days. Hell they probably could have come close to wining a ring.

Some exaggeration on both sides, but definitely Bogut with the dirty screen using his left shoulder to knock Harden to the floor instead of standing squared to set a screen. That knock by Powell didn't look intentional like a blow to the head, but he was definitely careless and might have wanted to hit him. I'm glad Ryan stood up for himself against Dirk too.

Ariza went a bit overboard in going to the locker room, that might get you suspended, but at least the team has each other's back. I'd be surprised if Carlisle truly disrespected players directly, but if he did I can respect Bev's behavior. If he didn't and only sarcastically clapped and complained then I think that's unsportsmanlike by Bev.

Harden needs to learn to take a hit and hustle instead of whining to the refs and that push by Ryan in the Mavs' back into Harden was gold! Lastly, our guys dished out too and the game wasn't that physical. The referees went overboard and might have caused the tension to rise by their constant technical fouls.

I think last year's team would have let the dirty play and trash talk affect their play, especially with Dwight. This year's team is just too good and too skilled. I mean, they obviously were affected by it but it didn't get in the way of them dominating and winning.

Quite true - he does have a ring which is something D'Antoni doesn't have. D'Antoni has 6 playoff appearances under his belt along with a Coach of the Year award but no ring as a HC. But back to the game. The Mavericks (read Mark Cuban) have this philosophy that they can just throw together a team at the beginning of the season, roll out and Dirk along with Carlisle and that's enough to get them into the playoffs. Well this season should be the final nail in that coffin as the Rockets have exposed that approach for what it is: Total BS. They have completely punked the Mavs in all four games and last night it was like watching child abuse in real time. If you aspire to be a champion, then these are the types of games against opponents who are clearly inferior where you must dominate. This morning I am laughing at all of the widdle MFFLs on dallasbasketball.com who are trying to rationalize the goon squad like play from the Mavs in this game. All I heard yesterday was how if you get physical with the Rockets, they would fall apart because they are simply a "jumpshooting" team. Yeah, right! I wonder what the "spin" will be up here today?

That got me to chuckle. On a toughness chart, they don't have one that can crack into our top 6 toughest. None. They have a bunch of softies that can't really be tough even if they try.

We could have blown them out by 40+ points in front of their own fans last night. Instead, MDA sub in 3rd unit early 4th which he doesn't typically do (which could be his way of saying f U to Rick Carlise). That saved their face a little, and they should thank us.

Yes they lost in finals but still got one title and better RS record than Jordan, yes they have won title with lots of health luck( and refs help) but every SINGLE year you have major injuries and a lot of all stars missing and perhaps it can be called a fluke, but viewed along with Carlisle fluke and Dirk fluke(winning a title with only 1 star) it seems the flukes happening are not so rare. Imho the big part of success is positioning yourself for fluke to happen.

Btw was Phil Jackson just happy that he had Jordan and Kobe? Is it possible that Rudy T was just riding hakeem coattail? maybe...Was Lebron just lucky playing eastern conference to have open road to finals every year or that sweat from dmo's ass injured curry? perhaps
No success happen without A LOT of luck and happenstance the same goes for Carlisle but even without the title the guy is notorious for bringing subpar teams at least into playoffs year after year and turning them into product greater than sum of its parts which is my favorite definition of a good coach.

The Warriors would not have won jack if it weren't for all of the illegal screens set by Bogut and Green. Both are dirty players who got away with a lot of crap that season before their reputations become known to the average sports fan.
