Yes, the guy in the video nailed it. There is a ton of fake news out there but most of it is put out by the mainstream media who try to push an agenda rather than simply reporting. To top it off they barely mention any real news if it hurts the left. That is not to say that 100% of the things coming from alternative right wing media is accurate but the mainstream medias attempt to lump all right wing news as fake news is just a really pathetic attempt to manipulate low information people even further.

Because the news I read is very critical of Obama and Clinton and many other people on the "left". 70% is a pretty generous estimate. On the Left/Right issue, the criticism from the Left of the current administration, for example, is more logical, well thought out, and data driven than the criticism from the Right, which usually verges (purposefully) on complete fiction. I think if I owned or ran twitter I wouldn't want to be an outlet for white supremacy. OTOH I'd rather see social media shine a light on these despicable numb nuts and expose their distortions.

I just finished a book about George Washington. Very good if anyone wants to read it's His Excellency George Washington by Joseph Ellis. Anyhow the amount of fake news back then was pretty amazing. He dealt with a ton of slander from Thomas Jefferson and news outlets associated with his politics. He actually had to deal with a fake news story that he was actually bribed by the British during the Revolutionary War and that he was actually a British spy like Benedict Arnold. There were even forged documents that showed he was bribed during the smear campaign after he agreed to the Jay Treaty. Point being...this fake news **** has been around forever. It isn't new.
