We desperately need Clint back.. Morey really needs to pull the trigger on Noel trade. If Hinkie was still the 76ers GM, the deal probably would've been done.

 

Good point. Of the top of my head, the wide open Ennis 3s we're unacceptable. However, the NBA is about runs and creaky Carter went off when all signs showed he normally wouldn't have. Inconsistent effort tonight running at the shooters.

 

It's just a bad matchup especially without Clint Capela. The Rockets don't have the frontcourt to beat teams like the Grizzlies consistently.

 

Only three free throws for harden?? Crazy

 

Normally we wouldn't have to. Memphis is not a good three point shooting team and a lot of their shots were contested. We have to play the percentages and they beat us tonight far and square. I mean, Rubio hit a three against us too in the Minnesota game but that's a shot you can live with. Zach Randolph killing us inside is something you have to expect and prepare for, not Memphis' outside shooting.

This is a middle of the pack team with some brilliant flashes. Question is are we going to try to get better this year sacrificing future? Now or next year? Like many of you, I am divided. I would like to wait for the next year but who knows if Harden/Gordon/Ryno will be playing this good next year?

 

You know who needs a rest. Coach D'Antoni, look at his interview after this game. He looks pale and his eyes look sleepy. I think he needs a break bad.

 

That's a bit of an overreaction. We are the 4th or 5th best team in the west. People need to chill. It's not like we just lost to the Knicks or someone. We lost on the road against a very good Grizz team. Harden needs to fix himself and then we will be all good.

 

+/- doesn't tell the whole story, but it was our second unit that cost us tonight. Nene was -18 in 18 minutes, Dekker was -16 in 17 minutes and Gordon posted a -20. Our second unit, which is usually a net positive, didn't help us tonight. It's going to happen, Harden with those 9 turnovers are unacceptable but he was still +8 on the assist/turnover rate, that's a superb number.

 

Boy, that wing off the bench Brewer/KJ must be upgraded for a legit 3& actual D player. Brewer's D isn't exactly lighting the world on fire. Also, very impressed by Harrell to start and be a big +, plus his good mid range J.

When harden has his head out of his ass we are 2nd in the west. Legit.

 

More scared of Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph than Pau Gasol and LeMarcus Aldridge. Randolph is ridiculously long.. Plays like he's 7'1 as well.

 

The problem is he has his head up his ass for a good 20 games or so a season. Standings wise that's not going to help

 

Clint fills out depth where he takes 22 minutes and helps establish a DEFENSIVE identity, its more than just lobs. Need someone to stop Zach

But I dont see how Clint fixes Eric Gordon going 4-16 from 3 and near double digit turnovers from Harden. Rockets outrebounded Memphis, Harrell did get finishes, Gasol had an off night. Seems Anderson took from Gordon. Get them both shooting decent, play defense and the game is won.

 

Any mention of the Chandler steal on Harden who immediately gave up on the possession?
