Eric Gordon vs. Steph Curry 3PT shooting

He's played in one more game than Curry, but Gordon is leading the 3-point race by two right now—112-110. And Gordon's killing Curry in percentage—43.6 to 40.4. It's unbelievable. I'm not sure what kind of odds you could have gotten on Gordon hitting more threes than Curry at the start of the season, but my guess is that would have been a pretty lucrative bet potentially.

 

Of course. Its he's getting a hot take in saying Lowry is a scrub because he struggled in the playoffs.

Just making a comparison that Harden is NOT being called a "scrub", though he's had playoff struggles. Harden even got a rep AS a bad postseason performer. After a WCF appearance, that talk died down.

Lowry actually turned it around and advanced to ECF too, so he should get similar credit. I just dont agree with the poster's take

 

Harden had a similar bad 20 game run over 3 postseasons, with 1st round exits vs inferior teams. Harden was put on the bench when Rockets came back against the Clippers. Those stats are there too. All of that is "scrub-worthy", too.

 

What's equally noteworthy is Harden's fall in 3point percentage.

 

Gordon should be in the 3pt contest this year. It'd be fun to see him go head to head against Curry.

Likely. Eye test says he's also doing more of the iso to the end of the shot clock and take a 3. Seems like we also end every quarter with him taking a contested 3.

I'd like to see a more advanced breakdown to see whether his "normal" 3s in the flow of the offense are off as well.

 

Rockets shoot the most threes in the league! 3 people on the roster are in the top 10. If they don't have at least 2 people in the 3pt contest it would be a damn shame. I think Gordon can win it.

Flash belongs to Dwayne Wade. Splash Gordon sounds better anyway. Slap the Splash brothers in the face by beating them at their own game.

What does that have to do with whether sombody is a scrub or not? Which Lowry isn't but still any NBA player could and should beat anybody taking basketball on the internet.

I mean Tyler ennis Bobby brown would beat any one of us but their scrubs.

 

Exactly so why call someone a scrub if you can't beat them. Especially an all star player like Lowery.
