Is anyone going to shoot the "rebel" ambassadors in the back and shout "Allah Akbar"? Remember Aleppo indeed - if these terrorist hadn't begun fighting with the Syrian government, Aleppo would have been spared this tragedy.
Guys he mentioned he's doing it as part of the Jihad, he was standing there for a few minutes making a statement next to the poor guy's body. So Horrible.
Exactly right. I would also add that US and western governments share in the responsibility for their support of the rebels. The US should have been partnering with Assad and Russia to crush ISIS. Instead, we have a full blown humanitarian disaster. His foreign policy incompetence will be Obama's legacy.
Uh... Syria has been on the state sponsors of terrorism list since 1979 and Assad is one of the worst violators of human rights on Earth. Some of you guys are so ignorant it's comical.
So who is the Russian equivalent of secretary of state and did he have information about the assassination plot stored on his private email server? Enquiring minds need to know. Let's focus on the important stuff, people!
I'm against the killing of diplomats from any country. Diplomatic immunity exists for a reason. While not an act of war like the invasion of our embassy and taking of hostages during the fall of the Shah, the world's system of relations between nations depends on their safety being assured. Having said that, I'm not surprised. Turkey is in turmoil, thanks in large part to the actions of Erdogan.
We surely should not be partnering with Assad. But, I don't really approve of our approach to Syria, where we've provided enough support to prolong the struggle by the rebels but not enough to give them any decisive victory. Seems to me that we just prolong the suffering. I'd rather do nothing and let Assad win quickly than do something and let him win slowly. But, that's still a far cry from helping Assad. I didn't think there was even a question of whether or not we approve of assassinating diplomats. Of course it's bad.
In effect Syria is Obama's non committed version of the Iraq war. At least Bush went in a kicked butt and didn't create a massive humanitarian disaster that is impacting the entire world. If you have an open conversation with anyone from that area you will learn that the majority of "Syrian rebels" are not now and have never been Syrian people. So why are we supporting a group of foreigners who are trying to overthrow a government?
my first impression: he died mainly from stupidity, when you bouchers people miles away at least get proper security 2nd impression: it was an acting job ,not for the blood or quick fall,or sparkling floor but I haven't seen a neck tie taking Viagra/ sildenafil before
Does anyone even notice that he wags the ISIS finger? Probably just shaved off the beard and put a suit on for cover.
The Syrians are already at war with Russia. When you're bombing hospitals and civilians, using gas on people then you should expect just about anything to blow back on you.
It's something that part of region does and does well. Reminds of the many times Hamas placed their rocket launcher close to schools and hospitals so when Israeli airstrikes hit the launchers it would damage those building and Hamas would quickly take photos and videos to use it as propaganda tool.
