Even before this injury i wanted us to try and add Chandler. We are really tiny up front and that is gonna hurt us eventually even when Capela gets back. That tag team up front would help our d much more than it would hurt our offense.
My bigger concern is that the Rockets have 7 back-to-backs from now to the end of January. The team has tried it's best to avoid playing Nene in back to-back games (managing his minutes to minimise chance of injury). Will that policy continue while Capela is out? The front court is very thin. Lord help us if Harrell gets injured in that time.
Morey needs to prove his worth now! We don't have a Mutombo who can hold down the fort this team and we're a contender in the making so get r done Daryl!!!
Yes, it's possible to do this, but it's highly improbable that he will agree to come back to the Rockets.
If he were invaluable someone would have signed him by now, especially since he is an unrestricted free agent. Outside of a desperate Brooklyn no one has tried to.
Many people mentioned Josh Smith. Does his contract include a clause that he can be released if he is approached by an NBA team? I think Josh Smith will excel in mda system. He is a good passer. With four shooters surounding him, easy job for him to make a few assists pervgame and it will be fun to watch. He is an underared front court player in the paint. Especially when we now have space for him to operate, he has very good footwork to dribble/ spin move/ pump fake/ finishing etc. He will be the perfect fit. I hope Morey read this.
Noel and Nogueira both have character issues. What is coming out of Philly about Noel is true. He didn't write on his game the right way. He won't consistently work on basketball skills. Scatter-brained like Larry Sanders with some of the off court volatility. He is a risk. But he is an exceptional talent, especially on the defensive end, and they've been trying to build a 3-point shot into him. Hrs fit the talent to do it. But he won't devote the proper time to it to make it happen......yet. But MDA loves the guy. And he's twice the player CC will ever be even with his current character issues, although those issues could completely detail him if he doesn't change them. Noguiera is a lesser Noel in so many ways. Good length and defensive instincts. Not as quick it athletic as Noel. Has character issues. Toronto would gladly move him for a low end first. I'd much rather have Noel. Okafor? Doesn't fit here long term. He would be trade bait for DeMarcus.
