D'Antoni's finest hour will come. He knows how to use players, I don't think they will miss a beat, but it is better to be fully loaded, but semi-loaded.
Well Mister Nene, I bragged you would become a crowd favorite when they laughed at your social security card. Ok, Man Up and show em what you got. I believe in you Nene. Now is the time you signed on for. One more for the team. 15/ 12 here we come...
I wouldn't be surprised if Nanu got called up. Averaging a little under 11 points and 11 rebounds per game in RGV. And those underhandies are money.
Only guy I would add from Orlando is Aaron Gordon (maybe Hezonja). Need more of those long uber-athletic run the floor high flying shot swatting switch anything glass cleaning dribble driving D minded mojo's to complement Beard-Splash-Ryno. And he's still on rook contract for 2 more seasons. Think like Morey. Big Splash & Mad Dash, get those Gordon brothers together. And sign Smoove to cover Capela's month off.
Bogut would be great (and that's why they already wanted him here), but i just don't see Cuban trade with us unless we overpay so...
Yes, he was indeed - and he was fantastic. I always said I wanted dmo back for the right price. But saying he would be the solution is wrong. That stretch of play was two years ago now. Dmo is living off a reputation from a nice stretch he put together of about 30 games two years ago. He may have pulled down 13 boards in that last game but he never looked the same last season, big guys with a bad back are ticking time bombs. And yes, I agree. Morey screwed the pooch yet again. He's made a lot of mistakes. We can agree on that 100%, too many posters here laud the praise on him. Truth is he stole Harden and has reaped the benefits since.
Morey will likely pick up some nameless stat superstar from the d league who will give good spot minutes. Wish we were getting Tyson Chandler or Nerlens Noel though.
I see Morey signing Amare for a short contract. He knows like no other the MDA system. That give us time to go after the right trade.
I dont know if you realize your posts are contradictory. You are afraid of having a 40-45 win season after losing Capela which means you highly value his contribution but turn around and diminish it with this post. Which one is it?
That's not what I said. I said IF we go on a losing streak because of Capela's absence, Morey should think about acquiring other bigs (since we needed to in the first place), but if we do just fine, then there's no need to make significant changes to the roster.
The thing about trading for Noel is that when Capela comes back you have two of the exact same player. Then what? I don't see a big trade in response to this. They're way above expectations right now so I wouldn't be surprised to see them just ride it out with in house options or a small acquisition until Capela gets back.
Cut Brown - sign reggie evans for glass eating. Give Emeka Okafor a call or acquire Koufos or Cauley Stein. There's plenty of things we can do, but I agree - Noel and Capela overlap and when Capela comes back it will be an issue.
IF we go on a losing streak, you are concluding its because we lost Capela. This can only mean one thing, he is very valuable to us yet you try to undervalue his accomplishment by priviiding certain premises. Once again, which is it?
