I think some of you guys mentioning Josh Smith are correct. Hes probably our best option to be picked up quick and get him to play immediately. Hes very similar to Clint plus he can expand to the three point line. He knows the guys and the transition should be smoove
Thank god we're gonna rely on Trez and Nene more, instead of swinging a big trade. I wouldn't touch our lineup or even examine it until we lose another game..let's see how much the injury affects our team before we overreact. "Wait and see" is the only option here. Would NOT give up the pieces it would take to get Noel. We're too hot right now; I would only be comfortable giving up KJ, Brewer, BB, Ennis and/or draft picks
Clearly you can't comprehend sarcasm. Did I not say his offense would be great to have? Not a knee jerk. You claiming he would be the solution is. That's laughable
I would be on board for Smith if he were part of some kind of varsity team earlier in his life with other players that became popular.
He filled in nicely when Dwight Howard was out.....but sure, he couldn't do so again because.....reasons.
Too late. If I was running Toronto, Nogueira , most likely wouldn't be going anywhere, anytime soon in spite of Jonas's presence.....It would take a pretty penny to make it happen.
No I'm not a doctor, but Clint himself just said the doctors told him it wasn't bad, just a chip, and he'd just need to rehab it for 6 weeks. So there's that.
He's been pretty bad in December, which is why his minutes have been keep shrinking as of late. I think Capela is an above average rim protector, but we need much more from our Center, because our PF is a stretch 4 who's not going to help a lot on defense.
Like I said yestedday, we're screwed. Never believe the 1st reports that come out because it always sets you up for the real diagnosis the next day. Classic Rockets move.
Thing is Chandlers deal is 13 mill a year for 3 more seasons. I think it's a safe bet that Morey will likely keep his #flexebility. As for Noel, I'm going to assume he will cost a 1st + a decent young player. Not a terrible price tag, but the man is going to be a free agent this off season, and with Noah/Mozgof getting 15-18 mill last off season, It's easy to see Noel will as well unless his injuries really drag him down. Will the Rockets really want to be tying up 15-20+ milll (+lost assets) in Noel when we already have Capela on a rookie deal for one more year? I just don't see it, I can see Okafor because he has 2 more seasons left, I can see Bogut because he's expiring. But I think the most obvious move is to stand pat, maybe sign another big, maybe make a small trade for a cheap/expiring/scrub big. We have Nene for a reason and Harrell has been playing good ball at the 5, not to mention MDA runs Anderson at the 5 as well. I really think Harrell can make a big step here, his long arms and quick jump nutrelizes his lack of height and weight on D, he finishes very well on offense, clicks with Harden etc. I can see him filling Clints role, biggest problem will be rebounding, but we do a lot of team rebounding, and Harrell's rebounding percentages have improved as well this season.
We also had an incredible team contribution from everyone that season but don't let that stop you. And who knows? Maybe he couldn't do it again because.... busted ass back.
D-Mo failed two physicals in one year and team doctors are worried he'll never be the same again because of his severe back issues. Why are people still talking about him?
And his individual performance was a major part of that....how do you not know that? As to a "busted back", what exactly are you basing that on? His back was good enough to grab 13 boards against the Dubs in one of the last games of last season.....but of course I'm sure you know better because......reasons. Anyway, it doesn't matter now because Morey botched the whole thing already, but it still sucks.
So, is Nanu going to get some play? I'd love to see them hack-a-Nanu and him making his FTs underhandad, lol.
