    I'm comparing James Harden and T-Mac; not Josh Smith and T-Mac.

    To me Harden is already better than Tmac in terms of achievements. Tmac was not able to lead his team even into the playoff just by himself. Put him on this team instead of Harden, I think we would barely be a playoff team.

    tmac had yao for the first 10 out of 22 games. so if harden wins 13 in a row, that's enough to best tmac

    I do not have a problem saying Harden will be better than Mac....

    but Mac had better athletic abilities and more potential, his game and physical self just stopped growing or just regressed.

    By age of 26!!!

    I understand Harden led this team to the WCF but let's not forget who T-Mac had when he wasn't injured. It really wasn't until that 22-game winning streak that we had a solid team to back up T-Mac and Yao. And whenever T-Mac was healthy, Yao was out. So my vote still goes for T-Mac but just barely.

    Yao had better and consistent seasons, and he was barring injuries, a co No. 1 option.

    He was not a second option.

    That is why they were called "Dynamic duo" during the JVG days.

    Yao scores inside, and Tmac roams and scores outside and took it to the rack, at times.

    Absolutely no comparison between the two in terms of making others around him better or lasting a full season without some random knee injury.

    TMAC is most possibly the most overrated Rocket of all time. When Les decides to retire his jersey, which probably won't happen, let me know.
