    I felt the same

I wouldn't even know what to say if Brock started next week

I would have a hard time taking anything about this team seriously. At least until Brock was gone.

I don't think Savage is great and that sucks because that means we're back to square one. We don't have a franchise QB on the roster so what's the point. Maybe he'll get us in and we'll bounce again 1st round.

Tom Savage costs America .8 jobs per quarter played.

    Thanks, Savage.

Savage is not great but he is better than Brock. The few times that Savage has played he has showed that he has a live arm and is not scared to vary his game up.

He played well. We moved the ball and it felt good to have a chance on 3rd and 6 for the first time this season. That said, he got lucky once or twice with almost int's and it WAS against the Jags.

Not ready to anoint him as the QB of the future but he certainly earned another start.

Jags have a very stout pass defense. Dump lump them into their garbage offense

Still better than Brock who is the worst or second worst starting QB in the league. Sometimes you got to admit you made a mistakes and move on.

that's a rational thinking no doubt.

But can you really trust this management? Just a week ago they put Savage in the inactive list just because they want to make their 34 mils investment to feel more comfortable.

So this kind of 'we are making the decision in the best interest of the team' BS should probably be happened 3 weeks ago.

Savage looked at least average to me

With our defense and playmakers on offense it gives us at least a chance to make noise in the playoffs

If they keep starting him anyway

The good thing is that the Texans, with their defense, don't need an All-Pro QB to be competitive, they just need someone that isn't the worst football player on the field on any given Sunday.

Savage will not only improve the offense immensely (even if he's average). but he will also give the defense some extra rest.

Savage may not be the answer but we now finally have confirmation that Brock isn't the answer.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step.

When Savage went into the game, the offense actually looked like an NFL offense. Comming out of the half we were going no huddle, slinging it around the field. If Savage can protect the ball throw for 200-275 with 1-2 TD's a game, I'm confident enough with our D to go up against anybody not named the Patriots. I did have a problem with the no huddle being too nonchalant. There might have been 1 play when we tooknadvantage to the Jags not being ready on D. Thats not good enough. Ill chalk that up to not playing for a whole year and a half. There was some horrible play calling for this game. 4th and goal from the half yard line and you throw a fade jump all?!?!?!

Savage was put on it due to a staph infection in his throwing elbow....It's well documented.

Yeah, that'll get cleaned up with practice and reps. I thought Savage was taking too long at the line as well, which is probably due to lack of reps and needing longer to process due to lack of reps.

Remember at the beginning of these season, we were saying how good this team could be if Osweiler was even average?

Well, Savage played average to slightly above it, and look how much better the team looked. Let's hope he continues that trend and isn't fool's gold. It could be just the shot in the arm the team needs.

Savage almost had a 300 yard 2 TD game out of the gate. That's without starting practice reps and coming off that staph infection. That's pretty impressive.

And yes, he did have some bad throws. He threw to Hopkins way too often but it showed me he had trust in him and he wasn't afraid of Ramsey or anyone shadowing Hopkins.

Bringing that old name Matt Schaub into it..... take that same difference in look, and it shows the good play Schaub brought. In Schaub's best 3 years he averaged BETTER than what Savage did EVERY game.

Thats old news now, but people dumping on Brock or any QB saying pffft another "Schaub" at best really need to be like YEAH we'll take another Schaub. Just look and FEEL the difference lol.
