I don't really take anything King says seriously. People somehow elected him a U.S. rep. though so it bothers me to read about nonsense like this. It diverts attention from more important issues and serves to further harden people in their camps. Right now there's some wingnut in Long Island saying, "That's my guy!" Republicans have to pander to these people to get votes.

It'd be nice if he was in Alex Jones position and Jones was some lunatic on the streets of Austin, but we live in a topsy-turvy world.

 

I read that. Unless I missed it, I didn't see any call for investigation into the FBI director. So unless at least one Democrat lawmaker or government officials actually called for an investigation into the FBI director, this is uniquely a Republican thing, which doesn't surprise. More than politic as usual is getting quite common and this is so far another instance of it, unless I'm mistaken and there was a call to investigate the FBI director.

I also knew this comparison between the two directors were coming up sooner or later. It's not a fair comparison. The CIA assessment is about Russia, not Trump and was done after the election once they have more information to make it. The CIA didn't said Trump is involved in anyway with the Russian activities. How is that even consider a "hit job" on Trump? The FBI letter is directly about Clinton's emails, against the DOJ rules, against tradition and precedent. To add - and the FBI director got criticized by both sides of the political spectrum.

 

Oh well, as long as its being reported by that paragon of fair and balanced journalism "Politico" it MUST be correct. (sarcasm)
