Damn time OB! I never feel confident with Brock behind center, but Savage has the look of a guy that can be our future. He hangs in the pocket until the last second and then has the arm/decision-making ability to make the right throws. I'm very happy OB gave TS a shot. Now let's win the final two and see what happens in the play-offs.

What's sad about this whole situation is who knows what Savage would have developed in to if he was given time three years ago. Injuries aside they kept on throwing mediocre QBs time and time again, Bill and Rick never trusted the one QB they drafted.

What kind of coach in the NFL can have three years and not have one consistent QB in any of the seasons and still have a job is beyond me.

It's sad we are going to enter year 4 of Bill O' Brien and we still don't have a QB

On the contrary, how many coaches go through this many QB's and not have a single losing record?

I wish we would have seen more of Tom last year.

Everything happens for a reason, I don't think Savage was ready a few seasons ago, especially if we were looking for a "veteran" QB. With that being said it did look like Savage knew where he wanted to throw the ball and didn't hesitate. Which makes Brock not ready for the to man the starting QB position. I honestly didn't see much hope when we were behind in the first half. Looked pretty hopeless until O'Brien benched Brock.

Hopefully its a wake up call for Brock or Savage. To be honest I don't really care who's the starter, they just need to be decisive with what they want to do.

It's probably a tough pill to swallow paying Brock 72 million or whatever it is to do what Tom Savage might prove he can continue doing hopefully for the rest of the season... but Seattle was in a similar scenaro when they chose to roll with Russell Wilson his rookie season....Texans might have to EAT this QB contract the same way Seattle did and move on time will tell

I like Savage dogs, not Osweillers. If BOB is smart enough he would start Savage, or else his time will be even shorter. I'm starting to believe we draft better backups than most teams. Savage passes are right on and just throws with accuracy, if money is the QB next week. I will not watch the Texans. I am hopeful that the Texans wraps the division before going to the last game, so that Brock has a look before going back to the cave.

Who ever the genius was to put Savage on IR last year really did cost the Texans the $37 million they are paying for Brock now. When The Texans were begging to find any type of QB at the end of the season last year, they could have had a pretty good idea about Savage back then and maybe would not have pulled the trigger on that crazy contract

That's phenomenal for a guy who hasn't played in a regular season game in over two years!

Most QBs have a good few games before they get exposed once there's more tape on him. We need to play it safe before our showdown against Tennessee.

    It's only Savage's third year

It's not like he was wasting away for a long time

He has plenty of years ahead of him and today was extremely promising

    Watching this game . .. .
It is why I never give in to the "Coaches are professions and know more than fans" or "They see them every day in practice and know better!!" arguments

Sometimes the EYE TEST is just superior even to a fan

"He's still basically a rookie. He's going to make some mistakes, but he shows that he has the talent, he has the ability and has the leadership that the team has confidence in him."

Honestly, while Osweiler was in, I felt nervous about losing.

Once Savage came in, I never felt like we would lose. I knew we were going to win the game, it was just a matter of when during the game we would get the lead.

    I haven't felt that way since 2012.

Hopefully Savage continues to play. I don't think there should be a question. O'Brien is stubborn and outthinks himself at times, but that was the best the offense has looked since week one.

Osweiler has proven to be fool's gold. Let's hope we strike real gold with Savage.
