I don't think it's bad if it doesn't work out either. There was no real indication they were going to win the game with Osweiler, so there was not much downside to the move.
I was saying that if you make that move and things get worse, then it's the wrong move. Basically if you bench a QB and the backup plays worse then all you've done is make things weird for next week. In this instance, they benched Osweiler and Savage played a lot better and showed a much greater command of the offense so that's about the best possible scenario.
It's easy to say that about your team's main competition, though I'm not sure how much of a serious football fan you are. Curiously, you haven't posted much pro-titans trolling until recently.
Keenum was a guy with a lot of experience and success in college but with limited physical tools. Savage is a guy with great physical tools (better arm than Osweiler) but who had relatively little playing experience in college. In the sense that they were both backups who came in a did well initially, I guess they're similar. But in the way they play the game, they're not really the same at all. And what do you mean "local star"? Case was a hometown hero, playing for UH for 5 years. Savage played a year at Rutgers and a year at Pitt. There's no loyalty to him from the fans. We just wanted to see him because he's not Brock Osweiler.
I try not to troll at all on you guys threads. But me and bobby have been going back and forth on mariota and Tennessee titans vs Houston Texans inability to draft a qb.
It seemed BOB really wanted him mainly because of his height more than anything else. I guess that notion's disappeared by now.
There's not much to go back and forth about. The Titans have been terrible and now they are potentially as good or better than a Texans team ravaged by injuries. Then again, Titans fans haven't had much to be happy about in the last 7 or 8 seasons so I get why you are enjoying a bit of relevance.
