ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Timberwolves 12/17/2016

I understand we are tired and it's what 6 games in 9 days vs a team with 4 days off but contenders don't lose these games they find ways to win. Let's see how they respond with in the 2nd half. James needs to show why he should get MVP

 

Just as a I figured this game would be. Rockets get in at 2 am, cold in Minnesota. A lot of long 3's taken. Not many makes. Wolves well rested since Tuesday.

I won't be surprised if the Rockets come back, but I think this kind of performance was expected.

 

The calls are spotty, and Harden needs to sit out/calm down and let the bench do work. Too many turnovers, we already let him rest early, and he still comes out turning over like crazy. Need to penetrate more also.

 

We have just been outplayed tonight. Refs haven't been good but we only got ourselves to blame.

The threes are great when they go down and I can't really complain too much but it's clear tonight the team is off as a whole. It would be nice to see them mix it up a bit and attack the rim more. We need to adapt.

Our ability to take care of the ball is honestly disgusting and it WILL cost us when it matters most. You know who I am talking about. Its really not that hard to make a concerted effort to be tight with the ball but it just doesn't change. It will have to if we want to be successful.

 

And put some posters behind that wall too man!

Calvin sounds drunk, and he missed half his face shaving. Hope he's ok.

 

Wolves are fresh athletic problem, especially on 2nd of B2B at home. If their main guys just TRY on defense, they can be a decent team. They have length and athleticism to cover ground and bother shots, then transition the other way for easy scores. Wolves playing to their strength basically. Rockets dont have the legs and horses to compete with that today

 

We need to try at least, i understand that it's a btb but come on...those three (awful) turnovers by James are a huge factor in why we're under 12 at this point though, they also changed the momentum of the game

 

were gasped up will take a miracle to pull this out... but i believed on this team!!

 

I didn't know the whole Clippers team are all CF members in this forum.

But judging by the b****ing and complaining in this thread, now I am convinced.

 

T wolves are sneaky good. They have alot of young talent and are rested, they have the fire power to be competitive. We just looked gassed after a back to back, I would be extremely surprised if we somehow pulled this game out. Especially with this shitty officiating.

 

This could be the start of a losing streak for us.

 

I been noticing that for a couple of weeks now. Hope he's okay too.

 

Yeah he was slurring his speech pretty bad in that segment.

 

Are u actually watching the game? Some really dumb calls ruined all of the momentum.
Don't underestimate what calls can do against a team.

 

Yeah I don't expect perfect quarters everytime. That statement makes no difference in this argument. I didn't see consistently good Rockets basketball in the first quarter. So I don't just say it was a good quarter because we put up 28 pts. If we played a good first we would've been up more than 4. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Harden playing with zero energy, players unable to hit shots. Most obvious loss of the season.

 

we were fine until harden come back lethargic in the 2nd, perhaps MDA should sit him for the rest of the game?
