Then Id call the insurance carrier of the truck and up his policy, free of charge, to make sure he gets the finest body work and make sure he is not liable for any of the necessary deaths.

Yes I did dump it that way admittey. Its not for directly what HE said. Its for the extremism where in a fire people would rather save animal lives FIRST over human lives. I think it does get to that level in some animal lovers. So its dumping some heavy sand on THAT particular mentality. But yeah it doesnt mean he actually is going "there".

I guess Ive bumped into a few that I felt bolstered their feeling of ethical superiority into animal compassion. Didnt have to tie OP into it, just not wanting it to go THERE lol.

I like how everyone's ideas are equal...

Yall are talking about cats and dogs, because that's all you know about.

Domesticated animals are not the same as wild animals...

So if you had a choice to save your dog versus a random person, you'd pick your dog?

    Really?

You clearly never had a pet that you loved.

You should still always pick the human life. You're a psychopath otherwise. Yeah it's cute to say "aww I love my dog more than people!" I f****ng love dogs too and have owned them in the past. But it's not really a "difficult" decision in picking a dog's life over a human's life

I'm not saying it would be an easy choice. I would give my life for my 2 dogs. I don't understand why it's so difficult for you to understand how people can love their dogs so much.

They love you unconditionally and don't ask for much in return except love.

Thing is, people can also love you unconditionally and not ask for much in return. I love you and I don't expect anything in return.

I could argue you are a sociopath for not picking your pet.

Why do people have to be mentally ill for this agenda?

Same here. But would you love your dogs any less if you did have a kid all of a sudden?

as long as you're not making clothes from people's skin, you have nothing to worry about. I'm the same way.

That's a bit harsh. Personally, I'd sacrifice my pet for another human, but there's nothing wrong with another person valuing their pet over a random person. Owners make strong attachments to their pets and will risk their lives over them. Love is nothing more than chemicals in our brain and nothing says love over our own species is stronger than love of a pet.

My hierarchy of who I'd save first is this:
    Loved person
    Random person
    Loved pet
    Random animal
    Mavs fan
