This has to be the only business in the world when the demand isn't there, you blame the consumer. Unreal. That and public funding for stadiums has to be why these owners pay so much to buy in. Having said that, I fully expect them to sell out every game this season.
With all the Fortune 500 companies Houston has it's gonna be impossible for the average fan to be able to get those club lower bowl seats. That's why those are usually empty at tipoff. Hell even at the UFC event this weekend many of those seats were empty the whole time.
Htown fans where are you .... theres no excuse now that we are winning an breaking all kinds of records. Seeing empty seats everywhere an eyesore especially when we are live on national tv.
Rockets need to go take back the summit from those branch Davidian's who currently occupy it.. It was a loud arena and dude still remembers attending games there and all of the happy times. Toyota center is a mortuary in comparison to the old summit.
The businesses argument is lame. Those seats are always available on flash seats. Sometimes dirt cheap on game day. I sit down there every time I go and most fans around me are typical fans. I think the flash seats situation hurts attendance honestly. The fee to buy tickets there is ridiculous.
they need to re-evaluate their pricing on the lower level seating. I was pumped about going to the Spurs game with a group...but it would be $275 for center court mid-20 seats. cut that in half and we got a deal...otherwise I am saving that pain for the playoffs
it's weird. i wish i had the luxury of going to the games, but i'm broke and live with parents. i only make 30k a year also, so i'm trying to pay off student loans and in the process of applying to medical school. one of my dreams is to work in houston, and my first purchase coming out of residency will be season tickets. hopefully, we'll be a dynasty by then!
With work + baby I'm limited to early weekend games (baby bedtime is 6:30p). But even then, those lower bowl seats are too much for me. It's just a mental barrier that prevents me from pulling the trigger on that much for some basketball tickets.
