The dude has no back and he's no longer a Rocket. Get over it. Every DMO thread needs to be moved to dish.
once a Rocket, always a Rocket. When DMo retires from the NBA and makes into the HOF, he'll go in wearing his Rockets jersey. YuleC
DONE- atas. I feel bad for him. Had an unfortunate injury then made dumb decisions in free agency. Hopefully someone gives him a decent contract.
Sitting back doesn't mean you stop posting as news comes up or discussing the situation with fellow clutchfans. Some people are upset that the DMo situation has dominated the GARM for a while, that is reasonable as the team has been great this year, however, now that we have resolution it will die down some. I do find it funny that there is a lot of celebrating that he is gone, and clouding up the board by those same people b****ing about it in the first place. Hypocrisy is our name! DD
This has always seemed most likely to me. Utah's offer may have never existed and after an arduous process, Brooklyn was his only known suitor. While the thought of ripping up the contract seemed mutually beneficial, any situation where the rockets backed out to away dmos fallback. The player would invoke a players union request into legality and therefore the league would step in to say what could be done. Could be that dmo simply had a calf issue that would have prevented him playing enough before a deadline in the new contract and that made the rockets balk. Rox can't say anything. Dmo feels his value is further hurt because everyone will think back. Joel blank continues to have piss in his cheerios. No ones wrong (except DD and Bballfullofit). All parties are somewhat hurt - demos camp hopes that the league will allow Brooklyn back in.
Right, that's why I also included value. If his back is shot then there would be little to no value there. They obviously liked him more than bobby brown initially.
espn radio had some guy say the same thing, not in spirit of the CBA, but in regards to the nets signing restriction. they're in talks, the league might make an exception to allow the nets to make a new offer. how this situation has played out, the rule wasn't intended for.
as stated No Mo DMo.....close the door would ya ! lets find a WINNER not another WHINER.....get er dun Dorkey !!!!!!!!!!!!!! go rockets......etc
Wow. If only he had a guaranteed one-year offer back in October, we could have avoided all this mess. Especially one above the minimum. Wait, what???
Because he rockets matched the nets offer. That means they were ready to bring dmo on. had he just shown up for his physical, he would have been a rocket or had he failed the physical he would have been a net. The rockets had decided to keep dmo with the ridiculous 1 yr guaranteed 3 year options that dmo signed. Even after the league "intervened" it was clear from reports including feigen that the rockets could have still kept him as an RFA instead of making him a UFA. But they decided to cut him COMPLETELY, even though RFA status would cost them nothing right now and let them decide later if the want to match. They did not. Read between the lines. They changed their minds and decided they did not want to work with him anymore or even use him as a trade piece (which he would have been on the contract, if they thought he was healthy at all). Maybe he failed the physical, or maybe he passed the physical but the prognosis was that he was a ticking bomb with respect to the back.
