They hired all those WR and QB so they could identify as a running team.... Defense and running can be an identity. A beautiful one at that. It doesn't have to be all glory boys....but you hired flashy. Identity is a huge problem for this team and always has been. Go Texans. I guess.
What WR's did they bring in that are playing worth a damn? Fuller has had injury problems and struggles to catch passes that hit him in the hands Strong is on the IR Braxton hasn't played very well and is on the IR Nuk is having a bad season where he's running the wrong routes, running sloppy routes where he gets no separation, and is dropping passes that hit him in the hands. Hell that alone is a good reason why passing can't be the identity and that's not even mentioning the patchwork O line.
This should be a blowout, it could be Osweiller's best game. Jags are a mess, the coach is good as gone and their QB does his best in blowouts, when his team gets demolished, he has his best stats. I'd be surprised if the Jags if any of them are playing for pride, more likely collecting next day's paycheck and not get injured.
Ummm...do you think that we are disagreeing? Yes, exactly. Include mumphery too he's a recent pick. I believe only griffin is a holdover receiving wise. Their identity is RUNNING???? After allllll those receivers picks? QB franchise money? Why weren't they picking OL and RBs? At least they've actually drafted lots of defense to make that claim but I always thought they drafted guys and put them in the wrong spots in base D. Is that very average defense an identity?
I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling The Texans wil sh!+ the bed in this one... Jags- 17 Texans -9
??? 2015-2016 Mumph: 24 games, 18 catches, 157 yds, 8.7 avg, 26 long, and......3 fumbles Strong: 18 games, 28 catches, 292 yds, 10.4 avg, 42 lng, and......3 TDS Did your sarcasm go over my head? Or is this trolling?
Yeah, Strong really proved he's better with his whopping 292 yards in 2 years at 10 yards a pop. Mumphery hasn't gotten many snaps, but he should.
Brock is bound to hit some long plays this game. How long can you miss targets before you finally hit them? Unless of course Bill makes it all conservative and tells him not to throw over 5 yards as usual. I'm guessing he finally gets a good passing game Sunday. Go Texans.
A baby pacifier. This is terrible news as Fiedorowicz was not only the best blocking TE the Texans have, he's also one of the only receiving targets that could create separation and actually get open this season. The game got a LOT harder.
It amazes me how so many great players started for years without missing a game and every player on our team seems to get injured and miss games. It's like a rotating door of injuries at an ER, with half our starters admitted for long term care.
If you really feel that way about your quarterback then it seems like he needs to sit on the bench and let someone else start. They don't lose any money doing that, but sure limit our offensive options. Down the stretch, come playoffs, that will kill our chances. Besides, he has still managed to get 14 interceptions playing conservatively all year.
Well, that's certainly the narrative that Mr. Clutch has been desperately trolling with for over a month now. Of course, if anyone actually watches the games, they'll see that it's a false narrative, but let's face it, who actually expects Mr. Clutch to say something accurate at this point?
