Sorry it didn't work out but I think we're all more excited to see Dekker take those minutes now. He would've been great insurance against injury, though.
Dmo and BJ have been complexly unprofessional throughout this ordeal and I hope this doesn't send the wrong message that behaving like this is a good idea . Barring the unknown that the rockets did something dirty I an disappointed in DMO . I thought his character was above this ... And frankly I thought he could still help the team . I don't hope he gets hurt , but I hope that he gets a tiny contract and that he SUCKS ass
DMO to the Jazz? they're going all in this season with Favor's back issues and GH's pending free agency.
I think as a UFA, Motiejunas's options have opened up. He might still end up with a sizeable contract on a team that will give him playing time. It will be interesting to see which teams will take a chance with him after this whole ordeal.
I only gave you a like because I'm a freaking sucker for the "yule c" meme. I find it absolutely hilarious and I hate myself for it.
http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets...the-rights-to-Donatas-Motiejunas-10799510.php Donatas Motiejunas' Rockets career, and his long free agent saga with his only NBA team, finally ended on Thursday. The Rockets announced that they had renounced Motiejunas and that he would become an unrestricted free agent. They had agreed to a deal with Motiejunas last week after initially matching his offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets, but had been unable to complete the deal after Motiejunas took his physical on Saturday. The Rockets agreed to make Motiejunas an unrestricted free agent after talks with his agent, B.J. Armstrong, and the NBA, though NBA rules would have allowed them to keep their rights to match any offer sheet he signs, a person with knowledge of those talks said. He cannot sign with the Nets for one year. "Donatas was a true professional throughout his four seasons with the Rockets," Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said in a statement. "We wish Donatas the best moving forward and want to thank him for his contributions both on the court and in the community." Morey, who does not usually include comments in announcements of roster moves, was not available for additional comment. The Rockets will re-sign guard Bobby Brown, who was released when the Rockets matched Motiejunas' offer sheet, on Friday, a person with knowledge of the deal confirmed. Brown had indicated his return to the Rockets on Twitter and his Instagram account.
I'm kind of sad.. I watched so many DMO highlight clips on YouTube in anticipation of his return. MDA could have made him really good in the system. I was salivating thinking about his alley's to Capela..
