    So it'll likely go into effect as soon as the existing one expires (at the end of this year's season), assuming one of the parties takes the option to terminate the existing one then instead of 2021 -- which seems probable.

    If, in fact, precedent were to be set by whatever is handed down then the League is going to be very precise in whatever it is gets handed down.

    The new CBA is future past; it is the old CBA i.e. the current CBA that holds the key to this DMo contract situation.

    Great for teams and GM's like Daryl Morey but you could give BJ Armstrong 12 months and I'm pretty sure he would never bother looking at the new CBA.

    I hope the full story comes out, D'Antoni and coaches really wanted DMo - because he makes the team better.

    This whole thing smells of BASKETBALL reasons to me.
