Tonight a stat graphic was put up on the ROOT feed about Harden tying the great Hakeem The Dream Olajuwon in triple doubles for Houston. The commentary team commented on Drexler's 7 and Clyde made sure to let anyone listening that he had more in his illustrious career. I can't stand when Drex gets all showboaty about his career when he doesn't actually need to boast. Old man defensiveness is unbecoming.

If Harden is chasing Clyde, the bar isn't much higher than where he's at currently.

Clyde Drexler has a grand total of 24 triple doubles. Harden has 5 this year and he's at 14 for his career. He's been ultra close many times this year with 9's in rebounds. Harden's currently on pace to have 10 more this year and he's 27 years old. Clyde is a great player from the past, his quality will be comparable to many great guards in history, but Harden is playing at a completely different offensive level. Clyde should take a backseat to this stuff that's unfolding in front of our eyes. Harden is a special passer, recognize fool!!! It's not like we're comparing dunking ability or steal/break away dunking percentage.

Clyde is great. Harden is great. Greatness should recognize greatness.

(Go on the road and get to know him, Drex. Golf can wait.)

Drex at home games is more than enough.

Watching Drexler telecasts is as painful as watching Brewer play.

It did highlight "as a Rocket", and for Clyde to have 7 as a Rocket. Its pretty impressive. Clyde was saying that he was "old" when he came over, but its true. I dont like Clyde for his commentating and for his "one-upness" but he does have a point. That guy was a pleasure to watch in his hay day. I mean he is a top 50 player of all time, STILL, even if you add new additions.

Im just glad he won a ring with US in the city of HOUSTON and just cant wait for him to be replaced on the booth.

It's like I said before, Drexler needs to smoke a blunt before he goes on live, man. It will help his game out a bit he has a hidden potentials.

Also, Brewer needs to smoke LESS blunts before he plays a game. It will help is game out a bit an show his hidden potential.

24 for Clyde is impressive. Were they all assists, or did he have any 10+ steals games?

I lol'd when Clyde and Bill where disagreeing about Dekker's college shooting.

It was something along the lines of ...

Bill "Wow Dekker's shot is much improved this year"

Clyde "Dekker was a great shooter in college too though"

    Bill "Not really"

    Clyde "Check the stats!"

    Bill "I did"

Clyde def seems like he'd be a dick in person, but he was a great player.

No fan is unhappy with his contribution in 95'. I just don't need to hear Drex talking like he's Dream when comparing himself to Harden. Harden is bordering Moses territory right now. This guy is unreal. Only thing about Drex that was truly "unreal" was his free throw record when he joined us. He couldn't miss for like 2 months.

I remember watching a game during the Scola/Lowry/Martin era where we were playing against Love and the T-Wolves when they were pretty decent, and we had gone like 6 minutes without a FG. Clyde says "If the Rockets are gonna win they need to find a way to stop these periods of scorelessness."

Dude was high at the time and looked over to my buddy and was like "wtf was this?" and he was like "I don't know man, take a hit of this ****",

I swear Clyde is in a period where he knows Bill is getting delusional, but ROOT and Les still thinks he's right as rain. What is he supposed to do? Match clubbing baby seals with more baby seal clubbing? No way. Clyde and Air Bull are just trying to survive the season. I hope Bullard does it. I'm fine with Clyde going away unless he goes on the road. This whole Clyde at home is stupid. He's not even 55. That's so lame. Who else in the league does only home games? Regardless of the answer, Clyde hasn't earned it, Hakeem has, Clyde no.

Bill was right about Dekker's college shooting. He was not a good shooter at Wisconsin. He just had a run of incredible shooting in the NCAA tournament his junior year.

His shot has improved drastically since then.

He was an awesome player. I was rooting for him against Jordan and I still think he was underrated in the media for what he's done in his career.
And, I hated him at first as a commentator but I have to admit he kind of grew on me. He's like the Barkley of the broadcast team. Every good group should have someone they're able to lough at him without him realizing and making it awkward.
I'd miss him if will be gone

yeah, I heard that exchange, I didn't think Clyde was too over the top with his comments, I thought he was just making this point, that his 7 with the Rockets was late in his career, otherwise he might have had more as a Rocket.

I'm sorry but Clyde's time is up. He often makes at least 5 mistakes a game when commentating that make you pull yoir hair off

He is only good for the lulz

Don in my opinion- JHarden, just going to bulldoze those supper stars from the past in far corner of stat sheet , and stay beyond the reach for generations to come.
