Yep, the fans also are saying that he should probably go in a top Euro club after a hard season like this, they're saying that if he goes in the nba now he will end up like Datome (not playing much and going back to Europe one year after) and that he should just establish himself as one of the best in Europe before going in the nba.
Since I want to essentially flush everyone from the team other than Harden (OK, keep Ariza, Harrell and Capela if you must)... sure, why not.
I'd include Dekker in that list, it's way too early to write him off. If the Rockets are going to sign two max level players, then guys like Gentile are what's going to be available to fill out the rest of the roster. I'd prefer younger players with upside and enthusiasm to fill out the roster than aging veterans who've got maybe one productive year left.
I would only keep Harden, Capela, and DMo (still have hope for one more season). The rest can be disposed of.
It's hilarious reading through this thread. No matter how many times you prove people objectively wrong, they will always find another completely idiotic opinion to cling onto, with no evidence whatsoever.
I always thought he had the potential to be sort of a Carlos Delfino type but (as we saw with Papanikolaou) if his 3 point shot is as broken as I think it is based on what I've seen, he'll have a hard time transitioning to the NBA. The guy can play, but the 3 point shot as a 2/3 is a necessity in today's NBA especially on the Rockets. Keep him there until you see some improvement in that area of his game or he will flame out quickly in the NBA just like Paps.
I see no where to fit him on this team without a consolidation trade that gets us a superstar first and then we need bench players. Or we could use him as a trade asset.
Probably because players know that unlike most other teams, we legitimately use ours to help develop players by giving them PT that they otherwise would not get instead of letting them simply rot on the bench.
