That or pulling out of Iraq early and totally underestimating the influence/threat of ISIS. that being said I didn't account for the masterful strategy of taunting the enemy to 'get under their skin'. Brilliant. Straight out of Sun Tzu.

That or not respecting Russia ability to hack the White House and not understanding the threat Russia is.

Your thread title is purposely misleading. That isn't biased, its just flat out misleading. This is the same crap I see on my feeds all day long ... misleading click bait titles.

He is obviously saying he isn't an idiot and doesn't need to be told the same thing day in and day out like a child.

So you either intentionally posted a misleading thread title (which is in the same ball park as fake news) or you didn't bother reading the whole interview. Which is it?

Threat title in the D&D isn't that important, but if that bother you, next time I said "NSFW: ...". Kidding aside, I don't think it's that misleading. Trump said he don't need daily intel because he's smart. To me, as I stated in the OP, it's similar to how he's smart for knowing nuclear arms in a few hours. I believe he doesn't care to know and be informed, but that's just my guess after witnessing him being just incredibly factually wrong all the times and being into all the conspiracy theories stuffs. And his statement of, same old repeated stuff as his reason is just an excuse for not caring to be informed and work with details IMO. I very much doubt Intel for the world of earth (and maybe ET elsewhere :) ) stay mostly the same to the point where he supposedly only attend once a week.

We'll see how smart Trump is in 20 years time. I'd speculate The Trump Organization will have a very lucrative period from their presidential ties in the next few years.

Don't forget Bush senior was head of the CIA. I'm sure he's connected even now.

At the risk of starting or rather, restarting another Iraq war pissing contest, the SOFA covered the transition and was signed prior to Obama taking office. The Iraqis didn't want us there and neither did the US electorate

As I understand, former presidents retain their access to the daily intelligence briefing should they choose to see it--someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Further, Bush 41 has forgotten more about intelligence and foreign policy/clandestine services than The Orange One will ever know or apply.

I've found a couple of answers but I don't think quora could be considered an actual source. they don't get the eyes only, PDB but can get cabinet level briefings as needed and or warranted or something like that. if it's spelled out somewhere, I don't know where to dig it up!

I don't know either. But my guess is at least not the one that is top secret and deemed for the President only. But maybe President-only also refer to previous Presidents? Which bring up another question - what happen to these for the president only briefing? Is it really only for the President and no one else? If Trump isn't so interested, maybe they should change that and at allow VP or some other cabinet member access.

Intelligence agencies of the era missed the Pearl Harbor attack -- we should never trust any such agency again.

So true. Are you up for a cabinet position? Let a cheetah loose in that white house.

It's silly how much people want to try to twist everyone's words around to fit a narrative of their choice.
How did we all become so untruthful?
He said he didn't need to hear it again if it hasn't changed.
It's like having dantoni say we need to find a way to get harden some rest during the games and then coming here and saying dantoni wants to bench harden.

It's so petty and embarrassing the way people are taking this loss to trump.

It's not about choosing sides or winning the spoils. This is not a contest.

First rule of leadership is to not say you're the leader. Same for intelligence.

Being a leader and being smart are attributes you can't claim yourself. Others have to give them.

In my business, if someone says they are a leader, it is automatically assumed they are not. They may have positional power, but that doesn't make a leader. If someone says they are smart, they're probably not or they are too insecure to be effective.

As soon as you use the word narrative you made it embarrassing.
