Not a smart decision for sure. Down by 1 with 25 seconds left (15 or so on the shot clock) you don't shoot up a contested 3 pointer.

With that said... seriously, dude, just stop it. Lin hasn't been on our team in years. He's a decent, alright, mediocre, average (take your pick of adjective) role player but not a star by any means. Just let it go. Move on. This thread should be in Dish

Right on, man. It sounds as if this place was a real war zone and maybe the PTSD has like set in for some posters.

Did you not watch the OKC games on ESPN Friday? Westbrook airballed a three against Beverley on a last possession, as well. You could have referenced that very recent airball. Not watching that game must be a LOF thing. lol

j/k -- I see you registered well before Lin shot his first airball.

Not to be biased but in this video - curry airballs a bunch of the same time of shots, early in the shot clock, Now granted it wasnt game ending,
but i think these kind of shots are the norm in basket ball now. Good shots if u make it bad shots if you dont. Perception is Curry is a deadly shooter, which is true but he has alot of bad shot selections. The problem i really see is that Lin takes them at the end, on a team where he is supposed to be the man vs Where in Houston he wasnt the man and still took them.

Westbrook has done the same thing and lost a bunch of games for OKC and won them - gotta live and Die with your main guy.

    lol, Thanks :)
Look at it from the point of view of who is the alpha on the team. Westbrook is, he has the green light to do that, Harden does too.. You gotta live and die with what they do at the end of the game. You gotta give Lin the respect that he is their alpha - he gets to do that now, but if he does and we benefit from it, so be it. I am noot trying to stick up for lin but if I was an OKC fan and alot of ppl cant stand Westbrooks craziness, this would still be my argument.

I disagree personally. Lopez is their alpha and go-to guy. He's also a better shooter this season. Still can't grab a rebound to save his life though... :p

Do we play the Nets again?

Looking forward to part 2 of this thread when Lin commits another turnover or bad shot at the end of the game.

I was always confident in the W last night despite Rockets trailing by 3 with less than 2 minutes to go because I knew two things would happen for sure:

    1. Lin would make a boneheaded play for the Nets at a critical moment
    2. Beverly would make a really smart play for the Rockets to seal the W

I'd rather have Steph or Westbrook jack up a game winning shot, but that's not the point.
they were only down 1 point and they had plenty of time to execute and he missed the shot.
he could have passed the ball around to find a better shot.

I agree with you but I dont complain when Harden does the same thing... or dribbles the ball off his food. Harden does this all the time.

Harden does not do Jeremy Lin type bonehead mistakes at the end of games all the time
Harden is a starter and gets the full attention of the other team's defense

Harden doesn't have a history of air balling potential game winning or typing baskets

Lin did this with the Rockets, Lakers, and this time with the Nets

Maybe Lin fans can justify that his air balls make them feel closer to Lin because they too can shoot air balls
