Yes. Capela, Nene and Montrezl all were owned by Brook Lopez tonight. Jeff Bezdelick better figure that s$#! Out quick.
Rockets weren't serious at all. Even when they were down late they didn't look like they thought they were going to lose.
I really want us to beat that 8 game streak we had in 13-14... we got real lucky with some of these calls tonight. i hope we don't have to rely on them in the postseason...
LOL he's definitely earned that name. Eric Big Dick Gordon has come through late in several games with some enormous three's.
Although u guys are happy with that win, im not. This is becoming a bad habit to give up 15 point leads and make it close unnessecary. We won't win those games everytime. Next time we'll lose that one to a team like philly and it will be embarrassing. Imagine we would lose a game like this in the playoffs. Don't just accept games like this. It's ugly.
why does capela not play in the 4th? also, i wish we had some paint protection. 68 pts in the paint? sheesh.
Good to have games like this where you under perform against scrubs but still get the W That should be a kick up the backside. I sensed complacency after the winning streak against good teams so they took this one easy.
Lopez reminded me of Yao in the post. He has every move, including a nice turnaround fade. But 0 rebounds?! That's embarrassing for a 7 footer. This game is further proof that we desperately need another real big man on this roster. Capela is very off/on if he is facing a real big man (he was pretty good against DMC until he stepped out for 3 but has been bad against Lopez, Horford, Nurkic, etc.), Harrell is too short and Nene, while he made some good plays tonight, is not going to cut it as he is just not quick enough anymore. If Dmo can come back and fill that spot, it would be great! If not, that should be our biggest concern come the trade deadline. I felt that this game would be a letdown game early in the game. And even though we won, it was a very disappointing performance. We aren't going to shoot 56% from the line with Harden and Gordon missing big ones too often, but letting the Nets score 68 points in the paint! 42 points in the 3rd quarter - 30 of them probably coming in the paint! We did not come out to play and thought the Nets would be like the Lakers or Mavs and quit once the lead got to 15+. We really dodged a bullet that we shouldn't have even let them load. Hopefully we treat these next few games with a different mentality and close out games before it comes to late game situations.
