Everything about this feels ridiculous, and I'm sure it means we are about to go on a 50 game losing streak, but FWIW: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/n...the-rockets-rising-grizzlies-command-respect/
Please stop trying to jinx us, CBS. They're playing great, but they're not the best team in the league or even close to it.
We complain when we don't get respect, we complain when we do get respect. We are Houston sport fans.
Thank god no one pays attention to power rankings - last thing we need is to be the target GS and the Cavs are. I am happy with us being the 3-5th best team in the league. Better for this team to chase than be chased. By the way, I knew Memphis was going to be really good - and they could be scary when Parsons comes back if they fit him in right.
It's not a long article, but just in case the tl:dr crowd didn't click the link...this will give you warm fuzzies "Tell me a team with a better combination of resume, signature wins, good losses and current hot streak. Tell me a team with a decisively more worthy MVP candidate, even if James Harden is right behind LeBron James or Russell Westbrook in your mind. Tell me a team that's gone into Oracle in the past few weeks and not only beat them, but survived double overtime to beat them, which might be harder than blowing them out. Show me a team that is this much fun to watch. All Hail Morey. All Hail D'Antoni. All Hail the Rockets."
The good news is the Rockets' schedule this week is a joke. Brooklyn, Sactown, and New Orleans at home, followed by a B2B at Minnesota. They'd have to try to get jinxed by this #1 ranking. Next week however is a different matter.
Actually i love to be respected. I knew from the beginning that we will play great and everybody sleeps on us. I watched every pre and post practise inteview and everything and i really felt that this team will be good. All the hate for the rockets in the media annoyed me really hard.
I want respect. What I don't want is too much respect. That #1 ranking scares the crap out of me. It's like how you want to be praised in a Sports Illustrated article, but you don't want to be placed on the cover.
