Haven't watched any episodes this season. Worth binging or should I just walk away?

Spencer on the other hand is a coward and sucker.

Jeffrey D. Negan or Morgan looks exactly like Bardem, an American Bardem if you will, just without Penelope.

This season is crawling. Maybe a couple of episodes already that were 98% fluff. If you've invested time in all those seasons to this point, I'd say watch it and fast forward when you get bored. Or at the very least, watch a summary-of-the-season video when someone makes it on YouTube.

Walk away and binge 2 months later.

It's a slow but steady stream of stories and gore, but anyone following the show shouldn't be surprised of pacing.

Stopping a bullet with a bat (not the physics that bothers me, its the sheer unlikelihood).

Slicing some dudes guts clean out of him by stabbing him.

Yeah. So many moments like this pull me right out of my suspension of disbelief.

Also, if somebody pulled a weapon on me in Alexandria and tried to assassinate me, I think I'd do more than just go into some goofy speech and have my henchmen shoot some redshirt (in a completely unrealistic and ridiculous manner as well).

God, this show. What the hell.

Spencer was an idiot and they wrote him as an idiot. Glad he's gone. He had no idea he was playing with fire per Negan. I guess if he would have "been there" when Red and Glenn got their heads bashed in and heard the words coming out of Negan's mouth...he would have thought twice about what he tried there. The fact is I don't think the ones who were there at that head bashing event really relayed just exactly how all that went down. They only supplied the gist of it but they couldn't convey the reality of it. And, Rosita couldn't have picked a worse time to try to kill Negan imo. What was really lame is Negan said Eugene was going to meet Lucille in the head and then nothing happened except they escorted Eugene away. That was incredibly lame. So, I guess there is hope for Eugene. Maybe he will be making bullets for Negan?

Negan seems to be fascinated with people who try to off him or say they are going to off him. By his own admission, he likes the brave ones like that with the spunk and side of craziness. I guess if Negan immediately killed all the brave ones...we wouldn't have a show because all the key players would be dead. But, it also makes it a bit illogical that Negan keeps them around thinking they won't be trying to take him down at some point. It almost makes no sense. He'll keep the sheep because they are no threat. But, he'll keep the wolves around, too. In fact, he seems more likely to kill the sheep. He's handing out passes to everyone who threatened or tried to kill him.

I also didn't really get how Negan is going to spot a homemade bullet or even look at the casing for that matter. Is it such a stretch that if she found a gun...she could also find a bullet? Yet, here Negan is looking like a forensics bullet expert.

The plot needed Negan to be a forensics expert, so the writers just made him one. Voila. Just another derp by the walking derp.

Haha, I haven't watched it yet, but... it's a mess, I think I watched 3 episodes or so (first 2 and last week's) and haven't missed anything. From what I've read here it's still a mess, I'll probably watch it, but if he suddenly knew it was a homemade one vs real... Lol, I mean it depends if Eugene somehow made a casing too, but I'm pretty sure he'd just be reusing empties. I mean unless the bullet was loaded wrong (too much/little powder, like varying between shots), or he saw the slug prior to firing, I don't know how he'd know. Or if the casing had marks from previous fire (I guess), but it sounds like he just knew, haha. I'll have to watch it later, I've gotten frustrated with it from the lame buildup for episode 1 to this. This seems worse than previous seasons but maybe because we've seen it all before.

On a side note, it's interesting how viewership is trending down, the show is still very popular but... I wonder how the 2nd half will trend, or if it'll get more interesting.

Negan examined the casing and made some remarks about it being homemade based on what he was seeing. I'm not sure exactly what he said but he had no problem making the determination. But, it felt like I was watching Forensic Files for a few seconds there.

"Look at those crimp marks; THIS is a home made bullet!!"

With crimp marks being the give away it was home made.

It would have been far, far more realistic for him to just lose his s*** and start beating someone until they told him where they got the gun/ammo.

Two assassination attempts on Negan by Ricks group in a couple of days and all he did was shoot some no name chubbs? Pretty idiotic on his part.

Well at least Rick is growing some balls again. Show was getting too depressing.

That is what killed me. You're telling me that someone almost puts a bullet in Negan's face and he keeps up his stupid little rhyming greaser nonsense instead of going HAM on those jokers? Especially Rick?

Someone shoots a gun at you, you take cover, you put everybody in that group of people on the ground with their hands behind their heads and start smashing skulls in until somebody tells you what is going on.

It's just so dumb. I can't take it.

Meh. The gutting wasn't too far fetched, especially with the knife that he got him with. The gore was a little Hollywood but that's too be expected in a television show.

The bullet being lodged in a bat was a bit much. Even if that occurred, he wouldn't have been able to hold onto the handle and essentially staring at it in a dumbfounded manner.

Would have been a better, more realistic, way of going about it if they would have had a misfire or a malfunction in the bullet considering it was homemade and the first one he had ever made. That would not have been out of the realm of possibility.

See? Took you like 2 seconds to come up with a more plausible scenario for discovering the "homemade" bullet AND keeping Negan alive.

Jesus. And yeah, even a knife like that isn't going to fling some dude's guts all over the place with such ease.

Just stab the dude and really wrench it around in there to make sure he'll bleed out. No need for that silly spaghetti gore nonsense. Oh and bleeding from the mouth too. LOL.
