    It was Doc Rocket on this forum that one time cryptically referred to an "EGO" in trade rumors. He never mentioned him by name, his usual mystery riddle form. Members linked it being Gordon, then usage of the Ego name stuck around after.

    I was only 7 when the EJ shot happened. But its incredible how many times I've watched it on YouTube over the years...I'm able to put myself there in that moment as a fan. And as a Houston sports fan, I often wish I had been born ten years earlier just so I had gotten to live through those Rockets moments first hand. Hopefully I'll get to witness another championship and/or an Astros World Series before I die. :p

    The fact that you think I don't know what EGO means shows that I'm not the stupid one out of us two as you tried to imply lol.
    That makes a lot of sense, and I know Doc has a lot of fun with that. I don't believe that if we ever trade for Jahlil that we're going to start calling him Young Footwork though. We didn't change Smoove to the Smithsonian although some did like to call him smooth. Haven't heard anyone call Anderson 'Da Birds.' Most call him his proper nickname. Cod just tries to allude to these players without saying their name out right because it's fun. I don't believe he was appointing Gordon a new nickname. I'm not going to start calling Paul Millsap 'Da Bird.'

    I'm not stressing, but it is annoying. No one calls Beard "JHard". Ariza has never been called TA1. D12 has never been called DHOW. It's dumb that people gave Gordon this new nickname that he's never ever had before he became a Rocket. it's weird. it's dumb. It's a pet peeve. Mostly because it came out of nowhere. Ariza gets called Athreeza in Washington because he was hitting a career high in 3s, so that followed here to Houston. It makes sense. EGO? Literally someone felt like EJ or EG wasn't good enough and EGO became a trend. I'm allowed to have a pet peeve. Never said you guys arent allowed to use EGO. I just questioned it, but nothing else. if it really is that much of a non-issue for you then don't discuss it with me lol. Just ignore what I have to say which I don't have a problem with. I know im in the minority here and likely the only one haha.

    We saw a glimpse that year Pelicans made the playoffs and scared GSW in the first round. EGo and Anderson were great that series.

    EGO has been the best 3 point shooter this season, and it's not even close. Compared to EGO, Curry looks human and Klay looks like a scrub. We've really hit the jackpot with his signing.
