This is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Thing is, what is Dekker's ceiling? When will we reach it? WIll he be near a Danilo? Millsap I can see as a "get", but there is that whole "we have Ryan Anderson already, what, are we gonna trade him already" thing.

Still, always good when Cod drops in. I'm glad I saw that he had responded to an old post of mine. I would have missed this thread's getting bumped with his new message, just like other posters are missing it (so far).

This. He's frustratingly inconsistent but is shooting 39.2% from 3 which is above his career average. You have so many shooters now as long as Harden and Gordon are consistent one or two of Bev, Ariza, Ryno, Dekker are likely to be hot.

Ryno is paid what he is paid because of the scarcity of stretch 4s. He fills a unique need as a shooter with size and is profiting from it. The he's being paid to provide spacing may seem ridiculous when he's not scoring it is true.

After he shoots his shot he scrambles in there to gather a rebound among the trees because he is one of them.

Yes there are shooters, but if you watch the game, Ryan stays 30 feet away and make one step forward and shoot 27 footers at almost 40% rate, this pretty much make our offense as 4 vs 4, a lot of spaces. on defense end , yes he is bad due to his limitation, but the guy is at right place and never stop trying.

Really hope we are not trying to trade him. The space for Harden and company to get to the rim would shrink drastically

I don't want to rock the boat too much because the Rockets are winning. And also generally I like to defend all rockets players.

That said, the only way ryno's contract is worth it is if we wouldn't have gotten Gordon without him.

Space alone is not worth 20 mil.

Fine, don't believe that wiltjer on a cheap rookie deal could provide the similar shooting/space. What about Steve Novak, or Matt Bonner or Ray Allen. Ray Allen? Yes. If you're just paying for space and defense and rebounding don't matter then you can slide another guard or sf type player in there for much cheaper that can shoot. Could have signed Jodie Meeks and put him out there to create space.

I love rhyno but he's paid too much. That said, he and Ego seem like a great fit chemistry wise and he had a big game against GS and rose to the occasion. As long as those things keep happening then his contract is not a big deal.

If you look at them as a package deal then the contract isn't bad because ego is outperforming his contract.

    Ryno, Gordon,Bev,Ariza

All are capable of getting really hot from three at any time.

If two of those guys show up offensively per night we are tough to beat.

Man I wish you the best, peace and blessings, and strength for your hard times!

IF we could get Cousins, although not likely, I wouldn't give up too much chemistry for him. And I would prefer to pair him with Anderson. So I would give up Capela, Harrell, KJ, Brewer plus overseas prospects, a 1st and maybe 2nds for him. Of course that won't get it done as other teams will offer more, but that would be my only offer. I don't think Gay is an option for us now unless we don't get Cousins and they will take Brewer, KJ and Ennis for him with no picks or anything.

From NO, I would be happy to get either Holiday or Evans for Brewer, KJ, Ennis or less.

From Denver, I would take Gallinari for Brewer, KJ, Ennis and an overseas prospect and/or a 2nd rounder. Would do the same for Wilson Chandler as well of course.

From the Suns, while I would love to have Tyson Chandlier, at his age and salary, I have a hard time deciding what I'm willing to give up for him that won't just make our front court more crowded and harder to decide minutes. Of course if you can package Brewer, Ennis and Nene for him once that trade can be made, you do it; but I hate to trade Nene like an asset when he signed here for so little to play on a winning team. Sometimes business hurts.

While Milsap would be nice, don't know if I would be willing to give up on this Rocket's team what it might take to get him.

This is one of the few times that I wouldn't want to be Morey and making trade decisions at the deadline this year.

Ryno needs to watch Dirk's old tapes and look to be more aggressive in getting open. He is too passive.

Not sure if you understand the concept of Ryno being a spacer as you just mentioned players not in the same position. Ryno pulls the opponents PF or C (small ball) to the 3pt line taking away not only their taller shot blockers but their usual rebounders. Even with our small squad, why do you think we are 7th in offensive rebounding? Do you think those other players you mentioned has that additional effect?

Cousins ruins this team. Out for himself, chemistry is burned in a flash.

Atlanta is a mess this year? I wonder what changes were made to that roster...hmm....

Reminder that James Harden was the problem last year and not the guy who admitted to not trying hard, as well as the guy who continually finds himself in bad chemistry situations across the NBA.

I love Andersons fit on this team, for about 14 mill per season. He's simply overpaid, which is unfourtunate because he truly is a good piece for us.

Frye, Teletovic are similar players to what Anderson gives, they make 8-10 mill per. Anderson isn't close to being worth double.

Can we please stop trying to pin last season only on Dwight. Harden was a big part of that nonsense as well.

I'm glad that **** is in the past and our future looks so much better. The chemistry and locker room is on point.

He's overpaid and EGo is underpaid. Ryno seems a step slow to get by anybody. He has the pump fake or the spin and fade but none of those moves are very effective because he's not hitting his shots so defenders stay on him. He does a few good things like keeping a big on the perimeter allowing us to get more easy looks down there. He's definitely an elite shooting big man, maybe the best but he certainly ain't playing his best ball now. I can only imagine if he catches fire. We're going to be hard to beat if he catches fire.

Codman mentioned Danilo Galinari and Tobias Harris. Cyberx had mentioned Gordon Hayward (although cyberx did also eventually say that Utah feels assured in keeping him).

Seems like the Rockets want a sidekick at the 3 for Harden, IF they can't acquire a star (for now).

Sacramento, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Atlanta, Denver, Phoenix.....come on down! You're the next contestant on, "Who the **** are we going to trade with?"

Yes, we want the sidekick playmaker at the three. But we (Rockets) are disguising who we really want. It's not Hayward, whom we have zero chance at. And it ain't Harris who is a tweener who is not a plus defender. Nor is it Galinari with the bad back although Gallo would be very effective here offensively. The secret wing target is Paul George.

Rockets want to pair james harden with an all-nba wing? How did Morey manage to keep this a secret all this time. Incredible stuff. Never would have guessed that Morey was interested in Paul George of all people.
