I just think it's a lingering issue with his back that's on the verge of being career-threatening. He's probably just well enough where it's still possible to play him, yet still a calculated risk long-term. Lesser teams like the Nets are willing to take the gamble (albeit with "outs" like the initial January and March trigger dates) as long as Dmo is comfortable playing. Rockets have more to lose by upsetting chemistry and playing a fragile player. Dmo held out as long as possible before taking another physical by not accepting the QO or other deals in the summer
Nah man, I just ordered a refill It's giving me the diarrheaz but this level of drama calls for bucket loads of popcorn
Bj is so dumb. He should have had Dmo sign the Utah offer sheet and had the Rockets match that. If the rockets decide to pull the contract due to to the physical Utah or any of the other teams for that matter to have no reason to offer a competitive contract because they know Houston will not match. If the rockets due voice this deal is Dmo still a restricted free agent? Any idea @heypartner
If Dmo would have just showed up the physical the first time then even if he failed he would have played for the nets
Or it could just be that the guy is damanged goods. It's funny to me that guys like DD have been saying for over a year that his back injury was not that bad and similar to Howard's and dekker. We'll all I know is what I see and that's those two playing ball and dmo I guess failing physicals.
Only thought I have he was working out with some supplements that were still in his system. Rockets found it and the Nets didn't look that close --> Given time he will clean up.
Looks like it was merely a slight hyper-extension, sure scared the hell of out me. He's just about the last player we need to go down.
He played for the team last year and passed a physical with the Nets this year something happened between the Nets physical and now.
I don't care that he played last year that's irrelevant he has already been traded and came back because of a failed physical of the back. The rockets had no choice but to play him to see if he had any value. Now I'm interested in the nets physical forsure. But anything else does not favor dmo having a sound back.
