Just need to stop talking about inuries. You could easily say Durant, Curry, Griffin, Paul, Parker & Ginobili could get injured. I see the Rockets getting better & already saw them beat the Warriors and Spurs convincingly. I hope they're 2nd or 3rd seed because Id like to a Rockets/Warriors matchup after the first round.
This may shock some, but I'm actually more afraid of Utah than any other team. I would love to avoid them at all costs and I hope that GS or SA will knock them out in the first round. They're a mismatch with their frontcourt and perimeter defense.
Current team is unlikely for a #2 seed cuz though their point diff is nice and offense is legit, the defense is still suspect. Remarkable if they slide past Spurs and Clippers, MVP for Harden if that happens. #5 probably, #4 very possibly, #3 in sights. Spurs and Warrior wins were last second nail-biters and OT games, not so convincing. And you absolutely can assume higher probability of injury with Gordon, Anderson & Nene over those players. Ginobili and Parker have too many miles and are just saved for postseason anyway. Eric Gordon himself missed as many games as all the other names combined. (Plus this is the Rockets when do they ever have good health lol) That said the Warriors have had TOO much good luck on their side with healthy, Draymond is already playing hurt and could reinjure so something might give there.
I'm eating some crow, because before the season began, I thought a low playoff seed was the ceiling for this team. Now, I think the third seed could be within Houston's grasp. On paper, the Clippers are still the better team, but they've been known to falter.
