I didn't overlook that. Maybe he TURNED THE CORNER last year. I still like that he is a better combo guard with bigger size though. Just my opinion. I would be okay with either one if we could get them for Brewer and Ennis. I also think Evans would be easier to get.

I'd say we make a play for Ersan IIyasova. He's on his final year of his contract making pretty much the same as Corey Brewer. We trade Brewer to them plus a 2nd Rounder and how does Philly say no?

For the life of me, I cannot find any reasonable trades worth making.

We are at the point now, with our depth, where we just have to keep winning, and keep our flexibility, to try and lure another max player in free agency.

Did you not hear we signed D-Mo today? Why would we trade for Ilyasova?

I dunno if this was covered . But it's lilkely that Dekker takes most of Brewers minutes . Dmo will likely play backup 4 and 5 . Harrel and nene will lose some minute too .

Dekker will lose backup 4 mins but has shown enough to deserve some of Brewers backup mins .

We play a 3 guard rotation . Ariza can guard guards and wings

You would't trade Brewer plus one of KJ or Harrell plus a second round pick (plus money if needed) for someone like Belinelli, Gary Harris, or Tyreke? Would't replacing Brewer with one of the options in the thread (or other similar players) give us 1-2 wins that could be the difference in us getting the 4th seed?

Because he's better than the player I want to ship out in this scenario.

adding KJ or harrell with brewer for any of those guys would not benefit Houston imo. Would most of us like to replace brewer? of course but you don't just get rid of him for sake. Despite his sporadic play he does play a role on this team whether we like it or not and by the looks of things the guys on this team do support him regardless. Gotta be careful in situations like this. It may be a minor move on paper but can have huge effects in that locker room if its the wrong deal that could trigger negative results.

Imo the only guy who may be worth a look is Harris, Murray is playing ok, probably better than they expected at this point, but i'm not sure he's a great fit next to Mudiay...? So i don't think they will trade someone right now, if not in a big trade (so not with us anyway). And i'm not sure what are the plans in Denver...i think Harris would work with James on both ends though, rookie scale for two more years (considering his cap holds)...

I don't understand why all these teams that are sucking aren't willing to take our worst players for their quality players that they are going to lose anyway. What, do they think they will win more games all of a sudden if they don't? :D

we have kj who we should be developing but we're not, hopefully cuz we're trying to trade brewer but i dunno anymore. a 4 guard rotation of harden, bev, eg and kev should be perfect. its very un-murlay like thing to do to not take advantage of that contract, esp in today's cba. someome should go tell him his full contract isnt even 10m.

I'm not so sure about a fourth guard, but I would do terrible things to have Wilson Chandler on this team.

Wilson Chandler would be excellent. Though he always seems to be hurt.

Another wing that has been talked about being available is Terence Ross of Toronto. He would be great on the Rockets. But he has played better this year so perhaps the Raptors have pulled back their desires to potentially move him.

Waive Onauku or trade him for cap space and a roster spot.
Sign a minimum contract PG. Is Chalmers still available? Maybe Payton.
Problem solved without disrupting chemistry. More balanced roster.

    C – CAPELA, NENE, HARRELL
    PF – ANDERSON, MOTIEJUNAS, WILTJER
    SF – ARIZA, DEKKER, BREWER
    SG – BEVERLY, GORDON, MCDANIELS
PG – HARDEN, CHALMERS, ENNIS or ENNIS, PAYTON

Or trade Ennis/Onuaku/2nd for a decent 3rd PG.

If you read the paragraph, you ll see that I expect them to make Harris available, not Murray. Take your lols somewhere else...

Aside from a blockbuster I don't see what trades can be made. Guys like Illyasova do nothing for this team now. Total replication of the roster.

Backup wing to replace Brewer's minutes would be nice, but Dekker is already cutting into them. What are you willing to trade for a guy who would be a 12th man?

    Guards
Harden, Beverly, Gordon (sometimes Ariza or Brewer depending on matchups)

    Wings
    Ariza, Brewer, Dekker

    Bigs
Ryno, Dmo, Capela, Nene, Harrell (sometimes Dekker or Ariza depending on matchups)

That's already a 10 man rotation not counting Harrell or Brewer. Where are you going to slot someone in?

We need to upgrade a starter not add a depth piece.
